A massive month for Mr & Mrs Matt_66. We had an offer accepted on a new house. My second, her first.
How exciting for you both! :)

1/3 of the year remaining & 1/3 of the target remaining~ should have £450ish in additional money from work in the next couple months so should be ok although 1 of my dogs is proving costly

    I am declaring £576 for August, so I have passed my target 4 months early. £6,357 / £6,000 :j

So happy with how this is going and extra happy with this month as I had a few expenses AND Amazon prime yearly payment came out this month.

Huge thanks to slowly fading for this thread and to everyone else whose posts help keep me motivated to keep squirreling the money away.
Well done you! I had the same target and have just challenged myself by extending it to £!0,000 so for me, that is just over £1000 a month for the last four months. Care to join me?

Thanks. I think £10,000 is a bit ambitious for me to be honest. With what I earn even after just essential bills I don't have £1,000 left per month. :( (Although somehow I have saved over £1,000 3 months this year so far  )

I might raise my target to £9,000 though so I still have something to aim for.

Congrats on reaching your target :T and good luck with the new one

  • Reporting £586.47 for August - decent enough. Just paid my car insurance though so September will be lower.

Thanks everyone for your motivating posts!
  • Declaring £447.71 for August. Still over all on target, but need to keep it up because we're moving house (fingers crossed) and savings are being redirected elsewhere at the moment

Taking my total now to £9150. Getting there.

  • I've totally lost track of where I am on the savings for this year, mainly due to falling off the wagon from spending.

So I will start logging again as of next month/pay day.

I don't have my house fund, so expect some strict saving from now on.
