Morning all,
Had a spendy day yest. Mil had a 25% off voucher for m4talan, and i wanted a couple of bits for dd for xmas, so went with her. Got some slippers, socks and pack of tshirts, and some slippers for ds, and a couple of other bits. Then also went food shopping, decided on mr.t as im suffering from horrible heartburnand needed medicine, and couldnt be bothered to take ds out of the car twice to go to liddle.
That should be it now though. Planning a very quiet day today, allthough i have already done a pile of ironing this morning!!
Today/yesterday i am grateful for-
1. Clithes drying wuickly inside and no need to use the tumble dryer.
2. Money off vouchers!
3. Food thats easy to cook when youre tired!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Bob - great news about the refund.
mothernerd - hope you enjoy wearing your new clothes.
Fmess - I've been with TCB a long time and never had to pay a fee.
Justforme - I don't PAD, I work out all my money to the penny for the upcoming month on payday and just leave a £30 buffer for unexpected spends of the small kind. The only time I make extra payments is if one of the items I have budgeted for changes and the money is spare.
I had budgeted £50 for something this month which has now been cancelled until January so I have transferred the money to the debt. I will then re-budget that amount from January's money.

So, that's 2/2 for lunches to work and 3 NSD's. I intend today to be a 4th NSD as I can see how the rest of the week is panning out. Tomorrow, I need to get my roots done, otherwise it looks as if I'm going bald. :rotfl:
Grateful for:

Justforme congratulations on the reality check, it is a wake up call how much money fritter away. Hope you manage to sort out again urgent bills without any more stress. This site has turned me around, had the odd naughty spend but at least I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Great to have these naggy turtles supporting you all the way.
Friends daughter in hospital again. had one operation earlier in the year to elevate the pressure on her brain but seems she may need another. So rounded up some cuddly toys for her toddler, as they understand why mummy isn't well again. Might just bring a smile.

Evening all
mothernerd - hope your mood improves and you look after yourself
calling - hope your friend's daughter is ok
I have been off work again today but feel compelled to go back tomorrow. I seem better in the middle of the days but feel rubbish first thing in the mornings and the evenings.
Today has been SFD number 6I have used up some batch cooked cheesy mash for lunch and batch cooked pasta bake for tea so there is some for tomorrow too. I also had a bacon sandwich for breakfast which was a treat.
I have to admit that the last couple of months have seen my cashback credit card total increase and next this month is the first month that I haven't been able to pay it all off. I have had to keep some of the money for electrical work but the electrician hasn't turned up this evening (this is the third day that he said he'd pop by). He came out last Tuesday but was going to pick up an item and pop back on Saturday. I text him on Friday to confirm a time, but got no response, so I called him on Saturday and he said he'd have to postpone until Monday or Tuesday and would be in contact. And now nothing. Would anyone else get annoyed at this? Maybe I'm just being grumpy and should be more grateful.
Today I am grateful for:-
1.) Blue skies
2.) Chatting with my friendly dog walker
3.) Noticing that my gas and electric bill would be slightly cheaper on another tariff with the same supplier, two clicks and it was doneLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Yes Fmess - I would be bothered by that from the electrician.
Just a quick check in from me tonight because it's all I can do at the moment to survive a day at work. Very painful cough and no voice makes teaching hard work... I spent a tenner on the way home from work as well - all on cough and cold/flu remedies but I had to do it or I won't make it into work tomorrow. Scuppered my nsd (unless I don't have to count medicine).
Things I am grateful for today:
My head of department noticing that I'm making the effort to get into work
A get well soon card that two of my year 7 kids made for me
My own children being kind to each other so that I can get a rest. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

ccl - you've not lost your NSD! Hope you get better soon.
Today I am grateful for feeling better in myself, for getting home in time to spend time with dd, for scrambled eggs, for my lovely neighbour, for good colleagues.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Moved the sofas around between 4am and 5am, well I wasn't sleeping. Lots of smaller things to move around but biggest bit done now. Feeling slightly better as I pinned down a couple of things that were bothering me and rationalised that I didn't cause them and can't do much about them (lightened the load).
Cleaned the fridge this afternoon. I wrote a list of 5 grotty cleaning jobs for this week and have done 3. The other two are the smallest but I am out of cleaning rags and tea towels. It is the first time I have been able to clean all the recesses for holding the shelves for ages so worth doing.
Have accounted for most of yesterday's expenditure. I have the receipts and have listed the deductions from my bank account (spent by using card or withdrawing cash) but I had some money in my purse to start with so two slightly different sets of figures.
Today I am grateful for very simple food making me feel much better, for the house starting to look better (keep adding tinsel and lights) and for being organised (trifle haphazardly). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
