Yes, I am intending to put off the switch till the last minute. I usually time it to apply for a switch on the last day of my current contract. The new supplier will then be able to notify Avro (in this case) within the 20-day window so I stay on Avro's current tariff until the switch completes.. . . want to stay on the current Avro tariff until (and perhaps even a bit beyond) the bitter end. . .
It will be interesting to see if Avro keeps me on my current tariff or whether they will try to charge me at their SVT tariff rates. Happy days ahead, methinks.

Ta for the confirmation - I was beginning to wonder I'd got it wrong.DennisTenus wrote: »Definitely due £25 cashback...
'Fraid not - it's £30 per fuel, confirmed on my statements....and it has no exit fees as well.0 -
It's what I did some time back, plus chasers including a full copy of my recent FB exchange with Avro when they claimed they never paid intro fees, even on the MSE Collective Switch.DennisTenus wrote: »Yes I've emailed energyclub@mse.com0 -
That's very interesting. I have checked just to make sure and no, no cashback received....the £25 cashback from MSE (shown on my statement as being from Moneysupermarket) hit my account on 13th December.
My switch was tariff not supplier, but other than saying the MSE/CEC tariff was open to existing customers there was nothing about the cashback only applying to new customers - I triple-checked.0 -

Not on mine, on page 3 on the right it says Exit Fees - None0 -

And you really expected to be paid for just changing tariff?0 -
I was surprised it was offered. But there was nothing to say it wasn't for existing customers and, having explained the full situation to MSE/CEC they've chased payment and not said I wasn't eligible. And you really expected to be paid for just changing tariff?
But now Avro have stated they never pay an intro fee.0 -
There are exit fees - have a look at the MSE newsletter announcing the collective switch: www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips/19-09-2018/DennisTenus wrote: »Not on mine, on page 3 on the right it says Exit Fees - None
But my statements for October & November 2018 do say "We do not tie you into any contract or charge you exit fees if you decide to leave" followed by "Exit Fees £30 per fuel". This was corrected on later ones.0 -

I'm confused. It says there isn't any exit fees on any of my statements/bills so they are going to find it hard to argue that in my opinion.0 -
As are Avro it would seem, assuming you're on the MSE Collective Switch tariff.DennisTenus wrote: »I'm confused.
Agreed. Even if it the exit penalties were set out in their original documentation I'd argue that the statement wording means they've altered the terms of the contract to your advantage. It says there isn't any exit fees on any of my statements/bills so they are going to find it hard to argue that in my opinion.0
