Avro Energy reviews: Give your feedback

I'm still within the 14 day cooling off period for my transfer EDF to Avro. I need to decide whether to carry on with it or cancel.0

That's a tough one. If Avro is on the verge of a takeover or is about to cease trading, any action you take right now is likely to get lost in the transition.

If I had an active energy account with Avro right now, I would be seeking to claim back the credit balance as soon as possible.

That's true. I was swinging towards doing nothing and seeing what happens.Consumerist said:That's a tough one. If Avro is on the verge of a takeover or is about to cease trading, any action you take right now is likely to get lost in the transition.0 -
If you had an active energy account with Avro right now, you would realise just how likely it would be for that to succeed.poppellerant said:If I had an active energy account with Avro right now, I would be seeking to claim back the credit balance as soon as possible.

You can "reclaim" the payment rather than cancel the D/D outright if you instruct your bank to do so within.(I think) 24 hours of the payment being taken. [say within 12 hours for safety]Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know2 -
Maybe you could share the secret of how you would do that.poppellerant said:If I had an active energy account with Avro right now, I would be seeking to claim back the credit balance as soon as possible.
There seems to be a few people on this thread who are not even with Avro but are more worried about them going bust than those of us who do have an active account with Avro.4 -
You can reclaim a DD from your bank for a valid reason.Telegraph_Sam said:You can "reclaim" the payment rather than cancel the D/D outright if you instruct your bank to do so within.(I think) 24 hours of the payment being taken. [say within 12 hours for safety]
Not because you don`t want to pay it in case they go bust.
Reclaiming a DD doesn`t get some of your credit back.
Cancelling or reclaiming a DD breaks your Avro contract anyway.

I’ve been trying this for weeks. You can’t get hold of anyone. But we are meant to get credit balances back when they go under so I’m trying not to panic.poppellerant said:If I had an active energy account with Avro right now, I would be seeking to claim back the credit balance as soon as possible.1 -
Can I set the amount for the DD with the bank? Avro now make it difficult to do that through themselves0
