If they go bust, they go bust.

My thinking too. I am £253 in credit after yesterdays bill. If it happens I will deal with it then. There have been a few scares about them going bust in the past and they have kept going.

Avro have claimed they don't pay commission at all.
Here's what they told me in a FB message exchange of 13 March 2019:
       Avro:
      Thanks for your message.
We do not pay MSE or any other energy sites to switch customers to us.
      Best wishes ^Todd

      Me:
Not even in the case of the MSE Collective Switch?

      Avro:
      Thanks for your message.
This is not something we do for any switch.
      Best wishes ^Todd

Is anyone else still waiting for their September statement?
I submitted my readings on 4th, as requested, same as always. Statement usually shows around 9th... 🤷🏻‍♀️

I submitted my readings on the 4th and my statement was available to download on 7th.
  • My last statement from Avro was in July. I have tried to contact them to request my August and September statements but I have had no response from them

At least four of the smaller UK energy companies are expected to go bust next week amid soaring wholesale gas prices.
Industry sources have told the BBC that four firms have asked larger players to bid to take over the supply to one million customers.

I wouldn't click on the above play button - who knows where it may lead.
The BBC link is helpful but we need posts like this like we need a hole in the head.

Hmmm! I'm currently just over £250 in credit with Avro with the next DD of £100 due on the 23rd. Wondering whether I should cancel it?!
  • Probably not a good idea at this point. You'll get any overpayment back in the long run but you won't get back any increased charges from when the DD is cancelled.
