Well, I've dusted and vacced downstairs and cleaned in wc. I've done a wash load and wiped all the kitchen counters.
Still need to put the veg away...
Sprayed some festive air freshener- Apple pie "flavour" lol, it's yummy. I've had some lunch, so I think I'll make a brew and sort my elf list. I have plans - they will bring the advent calendar first, and I have a 24 piece jigsaw so will pop one piece in each stocking, maybe with a little treat or two...
The. I just have 23 other days to prepare for :eek:Bossymoo

Happy birthday Ionafan
Time is going too fast today - no surprises there.
So far:
- 1 load through DW but not yet emptied.
- I load in washing machine.
- 1 basket of clean clothes put away.
- Did Body Attack at gym.
- Went to library.
- Went to garden centre to get some moss to make wreaths, got a couple of presents and my free coffee.
- Had snack and coffee while checking emails so I don't get sucked into reading or Candy Crush.
- Mr N and I are shopping this eve, not looking for Black Friday bargains and we've got a reasonably planned list so hoping it won't be too bad. I've just been sent a 30% off meal voucher from a cheap carvery, so that may be handy after shopping as it's in the same area.
Down to some serious paperwork now although I can see the sunflower hearts feeder in front of me (well, not me exactly but outside the window!) is empty so I'll fill that when I take lunch plate downstairs.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Happy birthday Ionafan
Mumto5 hope you managed to get the oil cleaned up

Evening all
I've spent the day at the computer trying to deal with papers and computer based stuff. I tried destroying the shredding pile by hand but it was taking way too long. I'll go buy one from Mr A at some point over the weekend if they have any left. I have dealt with my overflowing paper inbox. Its now empty except for my basket of notebooks/diary
I have post-its all over the place still and they're driving me nuts but its various shopping lists so I don't want to put them away or I'll loose them. I also need to juggle the calender (A4 sheet x6 as I colour code it on the computer for holidays, work related things have different colours etc etc) as I don't need September or October up any more. I'm thinking I might drop it to just 4 pages over the festive season, I really can't be thinking beyond February right now :rotfl:
DD is home from school, so I think its time that I got moving to do some cleaning.

Ha Kaz thats so funny.
Pigpen now I have got this idea about you taking an axe to that fireplace !!!
Mumto5 hope you have sorted out the mess. I cant think of anything worse. I once dropped half a bottle of veg oil and had to resort to bleach, fortunately I had quarry tiles which were indestructible.
Happy birthday Ionafan!
I am going against flylady rules and going to have a good clean tomorrow. Still have lots of mess from where the plasterer has been. Not much else planned this weekend.0 -
I'm playing tooth fairy again tonight - DS lost another in school earlier
bless him.
I'd also asked DD relief teacher if it was too much trouble to get another book this week - she has been very obliging and spent some time reading with her, and decided a graded book was pointless, so she has a proper story book, which she's read to me tonight- and she loved it! There were some words (through, being one) that she needed help with. But much less frustrated so a great success!
All in reasonably good shape here. Want to do my room tomorrow and also remake the spare bed now all the bedding is dry. Will take DD for boots tomorrow I think - she has cheapy (hah they were £1) primark ugg- type ones but there is no support and I spotted her foot sliding over the edge. We also need some big balloons for elf magic (!).
Want to spend some time tidying the garage too. I have some flingables to get rid of and my desk is untidy again...Bossymoo
