Oh Gods - my PIP forms have arrived. I'm shaking like the proverbial leaf and trying not to succumb to a full-blown panic attack.:(

Hope by now Mr LW is home and he has been able to help you. Whiz and Pip send a lovely doggy hug for you .... as do I (but a human one obviously)

I'm OK - honestly! I don't think I believed it really possible today but it's looking much more likely that I'll be offered a redundancy package. It will allow me to focus on my studies.

Do you think I'll start getting child tax credits again? Can you have those while studying?

Good that you're thinking positive honey - what are you studying if you don't mind me asking?

Todays corner which meant emptying half the room including a bookcase (the books are piled on the sofa) I need to scrub the skirting as it is filthy.. quite damp having been stuck behind the bookcase for several years so we are having a grand furniture reshuffle.

Well nothing at the moment but I am enrolled on a counselling course that's supposed to start in January if they get enough candidates this time :o

I had planned to study while working but ill get through much quicker without. It will take a couple of years but I've done the math and we will manage ok, especially if we can get child tax credits for a while.

I won't know for sure until February if they will let me go...

It's a leap of faith but one I'm prepared to take

Fingers crossed that if they do let you go it's with a big fat redundancy cheque Bossy! I've always found that each redundancy has led to something more interesting.

Lots of furniture moving going on here as well (no painting though - there's still a lot to do before it's ready for that). And lots of cleaning as a result.

I now have bedside tables both sides of my bed (I've had a chair one side for the last couple of years), the sitting room looks less cluttered, the kids' room is better organised and I've cut the last bit of carpet for the sitting room to fill a gap (my carpet is a patchwork of other people's old/leftover carpet which will do until I get round do dealing with floors). I need to cut a few bits i the hall that don't fit properly and tape them together - and then get the 3 rolls of underlay that I found under a bed and work out how best to use them to help keep things warm.

I have a LOT more carpet than last year, so it should be warmer anyway. I've also finally had the coal bunker filled, so can burn smokeless as well as softwood logs. It puts out a LOT more heat and doesn't disappear quite so quickly!

I've found a whole lot of airline amenity packs and toothbrushes, and some hotel toiletries. Does anyone know of charities that would take these? I'm assuming homeless charities might, as I know they are always after socks, and I'm guessing the tissues/mints/toothbrushes/toothpaste/handwipes/lip balm/handcream etc are also useful. But I can't find anything about where I might be able to post them to...
