Morning all
Just checking in quickly. Anyone else really glad its Friday? Been a long week. Another hospital appointment came yesterday for DS. Thats the psychologist, the GP, the endocrinologist, the gastro consultant and the paediatrician all before Christmas. I fear that with the house being upside down because of the new bathroom, all the appointments and Christmas looming we are heading for a massive meltdown. Dont like rearranging appointments but I think I will have to change at least one of them.
Well done Pigpen, that looks like a lovely fireplace you have got there. Sometimes its easy to tackle a big pile of clutter like that than little bits dotted all over the house.
Hope LW is OK. Didnt get time to read all the posts properly from yesterday.
Right, better shift myself. Have a good Friday everyone x0 -
Morning all. Was AWOL yesterday but did do paperwork, so have just had a skim read. Hugs where needed, esp LW and Bossy.
This morning I have done almost all the dailies and done the ironing (only 4 items). Am about to walk the dogs and pick up my prescription before the paid stuff - which has been awful this week and I don't expect it to get any better today.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

It sounds like it has been a stressful week for lots of you, wishing you calm weekends.
Flying has taken a back seat this week, will catch up over the weekend. Off to pilates this morning and then need to stop at Mr L, the bakers and JL on the way home. May head out to the garden centre this afternoon.
DW is on, going to clean the shower and then get in to rinse it all off and head out.
Have a good day all.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

This is the bits of leftover clutter from the rest of the house!!!!
It is a lovely fireplace.. however CF made it so it has to go. I have taken great pleasure ripping off the paper he chose... I was ridiculed for the paper and paint I chose so I'm having a lovely time!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Help! DH has dropped the deep fat fryer and the kitchen floor is like an ice rink. What is the best cleaner for getting rid of grease?0

Presumably he has cleaned up the worst of the oil?
Is sawdust to hand, or some of that wooden pelleted cat litter?
I'm thinking leave a layer and let it do its work then you have something solid to sweep up.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Morning,
I've been out shopping
Stayed away from the big busy centres though. I've been to two card factory shops for an elf door - they are sold out. The lady said people buy loads and they are now selling on eBay for £15 (less than £2 in the shop!). I think that's a cynical disgrace and I certsi won't be buying one.
Anyhow. Got some veg from greengrocer, popped to Iceland and a small Asda for a few bits. So I think we're sorted for the weekend.
The upstairs bathrooms are clean, and we tidied DD pit last night before Beavers. DS doesn't want to go any more. He wants to join a football club. So I'm going to hand in my notice, they will have to find another leader. It's just not active enough for him.
This afternoon I'm going to clean the downstairs loo, vac all around and declutter the living room.
Then we have the school fayre. Took buns this morning. So we'll have a mooch at school before coming home for tea.
Also mentally listing things to organise if I do leave work. Life assurance, pension arrangements and other stuff that's in the benefits package that may need replacing.
It's a lot to think about!Bossymoo

Oh mumto5 once the worst is cleaned up, you can buy a cleaner called "elbow grease" from pound shops and similar. It's in a yellow spray bottle and I find it a v good degreaser xBossymoo

DD2's OH has picked up the keys! They are supposed to be going to Leeds with his mum tomorrow to get some stuff.
However, DD2 looks far from well. There is a stomach bug doing the rounds at pre school and I reckon she is either skirting round it or is going to.succumb.
Right I am.going to head, unwillingly into town. I have the fundraising money to sort out and a couple of other errands to run
Wish me luck!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
