Don't you go mad with that getzls! We got that when we were on pension credit. Totally underwhelming eh.

    1 letter, 2 individual pensions

I don't think so. We have always each had a letter before. His letter says he only gets £100 because"somebody else in your household" is also entitled. Crazy bureaucracy.
As I was entitled before he was, initially I got the full £200. Why didn't they just leave it that way?

If there are 2 pensioners in the household they gets a separate letter each informing them that they will get their £100 paid into the bank,

If there is only one pensioner, the amount is £200

We are both pensioners and my husband gets the letter and the £200.

My husband received £200 when he reached 60, then we automatically got £100 each , the next year, after I reached 60.

    Both our letters came today.

I've just checked my bank account and have received my £200. I haven't received a letter yet though. I will spend it on heating the house - always do. :-)
  • mine isn`t in yet. I spend mine on heating the house too. I am not going to be sitting here covered from head to toe in fleeces. It`s the air that we breathe that is most important. Wood pellets are mostly already bought but I`ll be topping up with electric heaters if needed, if winter is bad. Or candles if the power is off

We spend it on heating, too. Except that it contributes to the monthly D/Ds throughout the year.

It's not ringfenced in the bank, though.

Letter on Friday, money in the bank this morning. Last year I used it to go down to London for the day to see the poppies. This year half will go direct to the refugees in other countries who really are in need of warmth and the other half towards a charity at home.

I pay £150 a month for electricity so come this time of year I'm not actually paying any extra and like to think of something different each year to spend it on. £10 at Christmas will go on chocolate :D
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

My letter was dated 15 November & the money arrived in my bank this morning. It will be heading to our local Foodbank.
