I love contactless - personally I hate keying my PIN in now as touching the grimy, bacteria filled keys makes me shudder.
Seriously????
So you manage to dodge the grimy bacteria-ridden handle of the shopping trolley (who knows who had it before you that day); the grimy bacteria-ridden item from the shelves (handled by the stock person and potentially at least one other customer); etc etc ... I could come up with more examples but life is too short.
I hate contactless. I hate the idea that someone could be stood next to me on the tram, skimming my card. I hate the idea that I will have to resolve that, in my own time, by phoning the bank. I dislike the idea that it can now be so quick to pay for something that I lose track of expenditure.
But mostly I hate the fact that my bank gave me no choice in the matter, short of downgrading my account. Yes I am a luddite.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I love contactless, if the TSB are going to pay me for easy checkout experience, I'm going to love itSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... So I assume you never carry cash either?. Imagine your wallet full of £100 of cash then a pickpocketer steals your wallet and your loose your £100. You have no way to get that money back and it's gone forever.
Compare that to contactless then you can ring your bank and get it all back. I know which option I prefer!
But I have never heard of anyone skimming cards and stealing money. There is a hole load of reasons that it wouldn't work plus you have to consider that any money they steal is traceable and they will be caught!. It's just a scare story that you have fallen for!
In regards to loosing track of expenditure... well that's just due to your own self control and budgeting skills and can be an issue with any payment type.0 -
