Stores that DON'T accept contactless payments - name and shame!

From what I can gather it looks like Tesco are installing new terminals at Tesco Metro (possibly Express stores also) as the one near me in Derby went contactless the other week.
I'm guessing it's because these stores must have more footfall on a daily basis compared to their larger stores.
One of the stores I was referring to was an Express and the other a Superstore, though smaller than most Tesco Superstores.0 -

Metro stores will have more of the lower value transactions that contactless is designed to facilitate.
Contactless (except via Apple Pay) is no use for purchases greater than £30, so is perhaps less likely to be found in the larger supermarkets.
Despite that, Tesco appear to be enabling contactless on the self service checkouts at the big Batley Extra store. There is an option for contactless on the "How do you want to pay?" screen, but it's greyed out.0 -

That option is also "greyed out" at my local Tesco Superstore in Mickleover (Derby) and also at the Tesco Extra in Toton (near Nottingham).
It is a shame the larger stores don't support it (yet) I guess, in time, they will? It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Worse case scenario: someone steals your wallet/purse. Anyone using your credit/debit card (up to £30) fraudulently would lead to the bank reimbursing you.
You have to hold the card quite closely to the card terminal; you can't be accidentally charged just walking past a checkout where someone's using it.
There are plenty of options for those of us who don't want to use contactless (such as requesting your bank to give you a non-contactless card, buying a shielded wallet/purse).
That's £30 PER transaction, used in different shops it could come to a few 100 quid - quite a billDo you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -

Bank loses:What if a Visa contactless card gets lost or stolen? Isn’t it like writing a blank cheque to a fraudster?
[...]
If your card is lost or stolen you should notify your bank as soon as possible. If anyone has fraudulently used your contactless card to make a payment, providing you take reasonable precautions to protect your card and let your bank know as soon as you realise it’s gone, you will not be responsible for any losses incurred (subject to your bank’s terms and conditions).0 -
But it goes to show that chip & PIN isn't as secure as some seem to think it is, and criminals can get a lot more money than they could from contactless.
Your Brazil experience would have been pin and mag strip fraud not chip and pin fraud.
They clone the mag strip and took the pin from a possibly a false front to a cash machine.
Then they have enough to use a clone but only where the chip is not used for verification as it usually is in the UK.
Many places overseas still use just the mag strip plus the pin for the withdrawals.
I'm not yet aware of anyone cloning the chip in the card to enable them to produce a genuine totally cloned card with both the mag strip and chip all operational.0 -

As the PP states your bank is liable for any fraudulent transactions so you wouldn't be out of pocket.
Not only that with contactless you are required to enter your PIN every so often for (obvious) security reasons. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Not hopeful then. Looks like the checkouts are capable but the card reader isn't.
Has the greyed out option only just become available at your local store? I ask because Tesco say on Twitter that all stores now have up to date software and its just a case of rolling out the hardware.0
