That's fab new Kitten.
I'm so pleased to hear that you have made a decision and that you are happy with it, especially if you love the area and have friends and family around you all. The decision you make now, doesn't have to be forever and your circumstances may change in the future, so you may well get your house and garden.
Sorry to hear about your card being used, but at least action has been taken to cancel your cards.
Its nice to read that you are more positive and I hope this is an upward trend for you. 2016 is a new year and new start. With regards to the children, it does get easier as they get older and more independent. DS started school in 2014 and DD is due to start in September and we have found things easier (obviously, you get a new set of problems, but its not so physically draining).0 -
Glad you are happier.
I am a bit confused though, I thought you were moving for your hubbys job?Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
He's just going to have to commute like he has been doing the past four years. He comes home Wednesday and weekends and that's when he's in the country so. I struggle with it but the girls need continuity for when he's not around.
Really happy today. My work have agreed to reduce my hours and my holiday!!! And my mum is going to lend me the money!!!!!!!! She said to pay my credit cards first as well! She's even going to set up a separate account to pay it with. It's all going to be ok. I've been dancing around to Justin beiber I'm so happy... It's funnier if you know me and hubby are into rock. If he knew he'd divorce me lol.
Tried doing housework today. Failed epically but still done better than I usually do. You have to pull it all out to clean it! Hopefully I can tackle way more when hubby comes home. I'm going to be masquerading it as putting the tree down. I hate putting it down early. But otherwise I am stuck doing it on my own which will not happen.
On that note how do you get wax off a mirror?
Only one of my fb sales turned up today, the other rescheduled for tomorrow. But that's some of the mountain gone.
I've thrown a load of my smashed up CDs away. I think once the Christmas stuff is away it's going to look really good in here. Same can't be said about the girls room. It's like toys r us in there. Maybe we leave it alone for today.
Have so many big jobs I want to do. Hope hubby comes home soon. Can't wait to see him. And dd1. She's having a great day with our in laws. Just been me and dd2 todayx

Congratulations on your mum lending you the money! :j My parents took out a loan on my behalf, since I couldn't get one (and certainly not at as low an interest rate as they got) and it made me feel so much more in control. For one thing, my total debt will be paid off in only a year longer than my credit card alone would have taken... It feels more like progress when most of your payments aren't eaten up by interestRainy day fund — 210/1000 Emergency fund — 1019/1500
Loan — 424/19,224 = 2.2% Fun fund: 1/100 Credit card balance — 00 -
Hey..you're doing great and do carry on posting. Its hard when people, (especially parents/family) in RL get a downer on one's efforts to clear the debt.. hate it. No reason to pour scorn on anyone's efforts..what does it serve???
Do carry on posting. And the ideas from SU re cleaning are good ones.
C/mon. You can do it. And we are all here to help

Hi Kitten! I've subscribed and will be heading back tonight or tomorrow to catch up on your thread as I've got to run now:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Barclaycards speel to talk you out of leaving gets weirder and weirder. Was offered 0% on purchases and £20 'to spend, not that we want you to spend' ?!?! I was starting to think it wasn't allowed lol but yay!! It's gone. After 4 years it's gone! He told me how much I'd transferred and all sorts! Very depressing listening.
So down to just two credit cards and the bank of mum & dad.
I'm resolving not to use any kind of credit at all. (Unless I need protection in which case I'll have the cash ready to transfer). And oh is doing the same. Think he might be on board but it may just be that it's easier for him as he won't be here to spend.
I'm getting all giddy thinking about mortgage overpayments lol.
I've done £3k in 3 months then £100 in 2 months (but didn't go up over Xmas) If I could keep going like in the beginning I'd be golden by his return! But no chance as reducing my hours.
I'm easing myself back into selling. Just a bit on Facebook. Made £30 so far but it's all better. Plus I didn't realise I had money in my PayPal!!! Paid my eBay fees and £15 off debt! Yay!
Dreaded overdraft is gone too so I'm going to be in the black from now on.
Got everything out for selling today and it's all just bits. Don't know how I'm going to flog it but where there's a will. Decided to sell the playmat but getting it up for photos and the girls are all over it! Don't want it til now. Gits so it stays for now.
Hope you're all doing well xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000
