Well he's gone. Well actually he's going right now. He left home at 6 and leaving the country now.
I've decided I'm not going to get dressed. I had planned on crying in bed all day but instead I climbed in bed with dd1 when she woke up and she gave me the best kisses and cuddles. Been tidying up and housework. And I've got asda coming soon. Completely ran out of nappies again. I have no money lefthopefully I'll make some sales. Can't believe it's cheaper to get nappies from asda including delivery! I know I'm stupid for getting the most expensive ones (pampers active fit) but the others leak and give my girls rashes. Ditto wipes. It's been alright til now when I have to buy two lots of big nappies. Dd2 isn't in the newborn sizes anymore
and now she's eating food bill is going up and up too.
Got a new big pile to sell. Not shifting on Facebook so need to get my bum in gear and get on eBay. Have sold quite a bit on Facebook though so mustn't grumble
This all just feels surreal. Oh well. I have lots of ambitions for by the time he gets back so best focus on those. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Hugs kitten, I can't imagine how difficult it must be to think about the next few months. Like you say, you have goals set for while he is away so concentrate on those!
It's not stupid to get the ones that suit your girls best, It's false economy to buy other brands if they leak - it will increase your washing bill!
Just a thought though, have you tried Aldi ones? We've found they're fab for goddaughter and they don't leak unlike lots of others they've tried.

Aldi nappies are amazing, a £6 box lasts us about 2 weeks!
Hope you feel better soon, keep yourself busy!!!!Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
My girls leak in everything... Now even pampers. I can handle it if it's because it's a big poo but when it's a wee all the time it's unliveable! All the different outfits. My washing load is always huge anyway.
Done a bad thing. I'm really fed up of all the mess and clutter in my house and all my shoes everywhere. I had been storing my shoes under my bed but an old mould problem has reared its ugly head again so no more of that. I've bought a new wardrobe from ikea. We've never bought a wardrobe before - we had my mums old one. The wardrobe will be a wardrobe, chest of drawers and shoe storage. Stuff will have a place and I will have a floor. I am trying to justify all of this to myself and we were given a voucher for Christmas. I really dislike doing this without hubby. He's amazing and so decisive at this stuff.
I don't know quite how I've managed it but I've made an unholy pile of stuff to sell. Given some to charity and binned some. And I'm barely scrapping the surface. I do love this decluttering stuff. Come over all William Morris. Each time I do it I am more practical and find it easier. I want to get to a point where all those things we were going to do are done. When I tidy up things have a place to go. I don't have things in my house I don't know what to do with.
Getting really demoralised without all the little payments throughout the month. Feel like I'm going to need storage for my sales the way it's going! Lol
Going to make a collage of gig tickets for hubby. Sort out my photo albums. Make bunting from the girls cards. Rather than holding on to the stuff so we can eventually do it.
I want him to be so proud when he comes home.
My mind is a mess. I'm sure it reads.

Kitten, don't be so hard on yourself about the wardrobe. Life doesn't stop and I think sometimes, making your life a little bit more comfortable is priceless!!
It sounds like you are doing a fantastic job without your hubby. It isn't easy doing it by yourself with a young family, but you are doing so well.0 -
The wardrobe was expensive but way cheaper than all other wardrobes and I have bought SO many shelves and organisy bits. Which means when hubby comes home he can actually wear his clothes not just the same three tshirts bless him. Plus his shoes and boots are driving me nuts. He's a size 14 so they are quite a killer to trip on and seriously need a place to go. And I've not bought doors so that'll save money and means hubby gets to pick them
I've done his collage of gig tickets.

Rang up ikea and downgraded the wardrobe. It wouldn't have actually fitted! So I've been refunded £28 so that's good.
I wish selling things was easier. Just want to hand it all over and get the money like yesterday. Haven't even got round to taking the photos. But all the charity/bin stuff is gone.
Just ordered the ribbon for the bunting. It was £2.66 including delivery and will finally get the bunting done so no more storing all their cards.
I find it amazing how taking on debt makes so many people take more control over more of their lives. For me it has dramatically changed my attitude towards stuff. For others they have regained control on health with fitness or mental health. It just shows how much our self worth is tied to our debt and how much change we can take on. I'm very proud to be amongst such an inspirational strong people. Thank you all for keeping me strong and resolute. You're superstars!

That's a really interesting point, kitten. I guess it's about taking control of the things that you can do something about. My frugal thinking has got me knitting again, plus learning to bake.
That's good news on the wardrobe, if you have managed to save £28.0 -
I've never thought of it like that Kitten, but you are so right. Taking control in one area seems to have an impact on so many other things!
