I'd give it a second go! It was just a misunderstanding.

So he was topless in the photo, which you don't like? It doesn't mean he's a bad person. I don't like tattoos but it didn't stop me having a relationship with someone who had a full sleeve tattoo :D
  • OP obviously you were expecting to see someone different from the person that you did.

However, he is still the same person you were chatting to, and got along well with.

I therefore think that you should meet up with him again for a few dates and see how you get along now that you know what he looks like.

So far he sounds like a perfectly likeable person to me.

    Good luck :D

FBaby will you stop saying I was gutted at someones face that is not why I was gutted.

I personally do not llike photos of topless men as it gives a certain impression and if that doesn't make sense to you that that's on you. It makes sense to me and that's all what matters.

    Have a good afternoon.
Perhaps you could explain the context of the topless photo as it seems to be that which has upset you about the guy who turned up on the date......

What were the other 2 blokes wearing?
    Were they on a beach?

If the other 2 guys were wearing full morning dress at a wedding and Yvonne's date was topless and wearing Speedos, I could see where the upset came in.

So this person sent you a topless photo of himself (but you thought that he was someone else) but you liked the photo of someone else. Correct?

Photos can tell lies - just as people can - and if you feel uneasy, then walk away.

The photo had three men in it, two was wearing tops and the other was topless. The photo looked like it was taken at a house party and the topless person had their arm around a woman. I obviously didn't know it was the topless person I was communicating with. I just wished I asked a few more questions. The topless photos to me doesn't appeal to me and is making me think allsorts

I did respond to his text this morning thanking him for a great date and he said he wanted to tell me something face to face. I asked what it was about and he said his job and that he wants to be fully honest with me as he likes me a lot. He said he doesn't want me finding out what he does for a living as it could stop us moving forward so he wants to tell me himself. Now my mind's working overtime and I don't know what to think.
It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun

    You have 2 choices:
    1. Meet him again and let him tell you what he does for a living then decide if you want to continue seeing him
    2. Tell him you're no longer interested in him
TBH, it seems an incredible amount of angst to be going through for just one meeting.

    Gigolo?
    Banker?

    My thoughts precisely.

(Except I read your third option with an o instead of an a.:o)

Perhaps he wants to confess to taking showers in strangers' houses as well?:rotfl:

Before people invest their time in this, are you going to update us on how this ends up? Or are you going to drip feed information and then refuse to say what (apparently) happened?
  • It's gonna turn out that he's a male stripper isn't it?! :p :rotfl:
