Found my stray pound coin from the other day! I had put it in my cardigan for safe keeping while my one year old had a tantrum... Haha. So potted it, with another £4.70 :)

Excellent potting once again Sue, congrats to your grand daughter on her upcoming wedding x

Carbootcrazy, you are missing a trick here. You need to open either a laundry closer to where you live, or train as a washing machine repairer!! You would make a fortune :D

£3.40 potted today. I have finished work for the week so the weekend starts here for me :j:j

    Evening all :hello:

My DS is away south to fly out to South Africa for seven weeks. He is going to travel around and then finish up in Jo'burg for the last six days. At least he'll be in the warm sunshine eh ;) He asked me to take his change and give him a note - a whole £10 worth  Slam-dunk - potted !!

Great news and huge congrats to your DGD and her future 'the one'. Hope she enjoys all the planning and especially the big day, though I suppose you will remind us nearer the day ;)

Hope you all having a great week

That's just marvellous to know, jakes-mum!! :j So, if any of our SPCers wish to givetoys for local charities then get in touch with your local NatWest to see if they're taking in toys. Thanks so much for that, jakes-mum, and a gold star for you for helping the kiddies. :staradmin

Oooo yay a star :D I can't help myself Sue :o DH decided to tell me yesterday that his biker friends do a toy collection too and I could 'give my presents to them instead of the giving tree this year', I had to explain that I would just feel wrong not going to the tree as I always do it (and always get upset as I walk away . . ) so we'd just have to buy presents for both! :o (and possibly a couple for the natwest collection too but :shhh: don't tell my DH)

  • So the housemate has decided to move out "some time in the next month" because she doesn't want the stress of being asked for bills. Hopefully I can find someone to move in, otherwise I'm not sure where me and the furrbabies will go.
On a potting note I got some shiny $2 coins so that was a happy day.

Good grief, what planet is your housemate from?. She's going to have to pay bills wherever she lives (unless she's going to find a sugar daddy and be a kept woman of course;))

Good luck on finding a more realistic housemate:beer:
  • Potted another €2 today, was on our dresser so I thought why not!

Day off today and start of the weekend for myself until Sunday! Planning on lying low and pottering around the house!

Been invited to lots of Christmas dos ATM but I'm going to decline as I'd rather save my money for actually going home at Christmas!

  • Another £4 potted this morning, that will be all from me this week.

So many of you having difficult times, best wishes to you all, hoping all issues with washing machines and house mates are resolved xx

Thanks for asking Sue, Mum has gone to have her heart put under stress today as she has problems with artery number two as well, so will see what that brings. She told me she has had a sneaky half a cigarette since her heart attack, I was so disapointed but have to accept she is an adult and will do as she pleases, I got upset with her and told her not to tell me if she does it again as I don`t want to know, so feeling miffed at the mo x

  • Good morning all

Thanks, jakes-mum I can't find a Giving Tree anywhere. I'll try the banks in the area now though. I still donate food to the food bank trolley in Sainsbobs but it would be lovely to buy a gift/gifts for an actual person. In the said store a large box has appeared. It's requested that you make a card, address it 'To Someone Special' and pop it in the box. They will be distributed to lonely people in the area, which is a lovely idea I think. They have a Facebook page but I can't find it (I'm hopeless with things like that ) maybe they are doing that in other areas too?

Hiya Sue ! Congratulations on the wonderful DGD's news. How exciting!

Anyway, popped in to say 50p potted after the food shop, there might be more at the weekend when I find out how frugal I've actually been this week

Where are the STRAGGLERS???? Come on we need the total! The declared totals are absolutely amazing and I intend to get my ar*se into gear and do better next time!

Have a lovely day everyone x
