I had to open up my pot :( the housemate didn't deliver her half of the bills so needed to cover them. Am continuing with the shrapnel that is left.

Aww, don't worry about it. I had to open my pot last year and I was gutted but sometimes life hits you with things like that. Sure you'll have it built up again in no time! :money:

Went to a Christmas Fayre at a National Trust house nearby yesterday and made a start on Christmas shopping  Just checked my purse and I've got £4.68 to feed into my pot tonight when I get home.:D

Yes, siju, sadly it's been a very wet and VERY windy day here too, if you're doing a boat for yourself knock one up for me at the same time please. You fed your pot with love tonight, it'll be chuffed with that lot!!! :D

Got a drink and a choccie bar from the shop on the way up there so potted 65p change.

@sue it's like £5 VAT and an £8 'handling' charge. It's the handling charge that gets my goat tbh. Don't mind paying tax where tax is due but what's the handling charge even for and why is it like an hour's wage pay? Not like you pay handling on any other mail is it.

I couldn't agree more, lexbubbles, but - sadly it won't change. :( Good to hear you at least had some change to pot. :D

You and me both re the pots, Ruth, though I think I'm hanging onto 2 special ones I already have so no money needs to be spent. :j

Oi evo5819, what do you mean don't worry about it?!! :naughty: I hope your pot is sealed securely this time around!!!!!! Mmmmmm!

    Good for you, 32b3.

    Morning Everyone :)

Well it was VERY windy yesterday.....but thankfully not too wet here....

I had a rotten headache when I got home....and it didn't get any better unfortunately....so I just had some Cereal for my Evening Meal so that I could take my Diabetes Tablet (as I can't take it on an empty stomach) and then headed for bed....Feeling MUCH better this morning I'm glad to say!! :)

I DID manage to Pot some Money last night when I got home from Shopping.....I can't remember the exact amount but I know it was over £2 in change....so I'm pleased with that....I seem to be going great guns at the moment....so I'm really pleased with that....It might slow down over Christmas but I'm okay with that as long as I can put a little bit in.... :)

*Hugs* to anyone that needs them.....And a BIG Welcome to the Newbies....hope you enjoy it here with us all xXx :)
  • Good morning to all potters:coffee:

My very small purse was bulging fit to burst when I got home last night but it was mainly till-receipts and 3 loyalty cards:(. Did manage to find a few coins in there to pot(5p and 1p coins mainly so hardly hidden treasure;)). This is slow-going for me:o

One plus was a 50p piece I found under the washing machine when we half pulled it out ready for the repair man's visit. How did that get under there, a 50p is one of the few coins that don't roll:rotfl:

I don't pot anything as high-value as 50p (I need them for spending) but did pot this one, devil that I am;)
  • 2x20p potted today
  • Wow, I haven't posted anything in nearly two weeks. I've been rather naughty and keep spending on my card instead of getting the money out at the local post office.
We have no free to use cash machine by us so if you want cash later than 5pm it's a bit of pain to get any, without taking the car to the local supermarket! And I've been trying very very hard to reduce my petrol bill. Taking it from £40 a week (working) to £20 a week with not working.
I also smoke, which means a lot of money goes on that. However quitting is hard when your partner smokes and the old "get rid of all smoking paraphanalia" doesn't work when he still smokes, but have switched u both to tobacco which although is still an expense, is a lot cheaper in the long run whilst I convince him to quit with me! Haha.

17p potted this morning, from change from my other half after he removed all his silvers and golds from it. So out of about £6 I was left with 17p but I'm not complaining!
But I must start using cash instead of plastic!!!!

If only I could buy my own cash machine and it be free of charge!

I haven't read any of the posts since about page 22 but will do so later today when the little one goes to sleep!

I'm doing well so far with potting, DH was given £8 on Sunday and gave it to me to pot! On countdown for DD2's baby, it's due this month, they still don't know what flavour they're getting. Lots of guesses, but let's face it there's a 50/50 chance of being right. I'm still hoping for a Christmas Day baby, she's saying no chance, want's her Christmas dinner! I have promised to either save it or take it into hospital for her, but she's not amused :)
