  • is it wrong that I'm contemplating changing a £20 into coins come payday, just so I can pot them?! :D :rotfl:

I have no idea how much I'm potting, but it's definitely coming along. The piggy doesn't have such an echo-echo-e c h o when coins drop in now!

Heaven's no, I'm only 25! :rotfl: S is (one of) my best friends, we only live 2 miles apart so we often meet up and do stuff. Normally the cinema as we both have Cinew*rld Unlimited cards. Sadly all of my other close friends live back down in London, so I only really get to see S. All the time.

Found another 1p wedged under the skirting board (?!) when I was cleaning, and brought back 83p from pub/cinema adventuring.

Oooops, just a rough guess, lexbubbles, though a little too rough. :rotfl: Anyway, nice to meet S, I think. Well done spotting the 1p and good saving with the 83p as well. You both do well with the Cinew!orld cards...though one could almost say that the money saved could go in your pot! Only joking lex, as it would probably work out to be a LOT!! So, are you a Lodoner or a Scot, if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you - just a little confused - is my number still 052 as in post #2.

I did save if its any consolation but broke into the tin mid way through the year and fell off the wagon :o:o. Am back on and looking forward to saving in 2016 :D

No wonder you're a bit confused, LAM, that was another member who's No was in the 200s (I can't be perfect all the time...or even part of it :rotfl:), yours IS No 52 as is already on your siggie! Apologies. :oBTW. You can gladly declare the amount (if you can remember it) you needed to take out as you'd saved it for a long time. If so, please declare it on SPC 8. Thanks so much.

Oooh poor smiffy, you must have been frozen!! Little wonder you need to defrost. Why not get something like a covector heater as a stand-by, not pricey to run or buy and at least it would keep you warm. I'm taking you at your word about dropping in more as it'll help motivate you and it's always lovely to see everyone. :j Don't forget!

NEVER stepuptothepl8...you go ahead and do so by all means!!! It's good that you're not really counting your savings, far more fun that way. Keep filling him up and your little piggy will soon become a right porker!!! :rotfl:
:xmassmile Have a good evening, SPCers....don't forget your pots need TLC!!

It would be A LOT, yes. We go at least once a week (which would work out at £23 a month saved minimum + another £10 per film seen after that)

Originally, I'm a Londoner but I've lived in lovely lovely Glasgow for some 19 months now.

Nothing potted today. It's a bit too cold to carry on with cleaning in the hopes of finding a penny. Currently wearing 4 layers + handwarmers + a hot water bottle. No central heating, you see. I have teeeeny tiny lil plug-in radiators but they're 3KWh  and I'd have to have them on for 3 days just to heat the room. Last year putting them on landed me +£300 on my electric bill. Never again. Bury me in knitted clothing until I no longer resemble a person.

I do have a heated throw arriving tomorrow though, so maybe I can reduce down to 2 layers :rotfl:

  • :hello: Good evening everyone.

Brrr!! Its cold today. I do hope it warms up this week.

The children have said they are much warmer now I bought the new quilts. DS 21 said that the drawback to the quilt is that it is too warm and comfy to get up!! Mind you if he's not working he tends to spend all his time asleep anyway:rotfl:

I had to buy some milk today and am potting 2 x 20ps. I do have a £2 coin as well but think I may need it this week, so will hold it until Friday and if I don't spend it I will pot it.

Have a good evening and stay warm.

It's so good to see you back, peaceandfreedom! :D I've updated your Target, so good luck with it. I'll be holding you to keeping up with us, and yes, it does keep everyone far more motivated! :j Take note of the declaration date for next Nov - the 3rd!

Duly noted, Sue :). Thanks also for your message and for updating my total - it's the first time for many years I've had Christmas covered before the event, it's a great feeling. Strangely enough, I don't really want to spend the money now :rotfl:.

Well done to everyone on their magnificent totals :T.
