That sounds intriguing, skilly:T but what on earth is a rag rug quilt please?

I've made rag rugs and quilts in the past but never anything that combined the two skills. Sounds like a new idea I might try:j

    Hi Sue and lovely SPC'ers

I didnt take up the challenge of SPC8 but am in awe of the amounts raised so have decided I need to do it again. Please put me down for SPC9 if thats ok - will update my signature with my original number. I have a money pot and threw in a fair amount of loose change over the weekend. :)

Such a chilly weekend, I hope everyone kept warm - time for the winter quilt! although I've been told it'll warm up again this week. It's always such a battle between me and my DH. As I am a lady of a certain age, I'm always hot and he's always cold :undecided. Let the battle of the quilt begin

Potted another £2.24 over the weekend. Will call at the shops on my way home from work to pick up something for tea tonight so hopefully will have a little bit more change for my pot.
    SPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.83

Hello and welcome back to the potting thread.

Sue-UU will pass by and I think you will have to get a new number if you didn't take part last year as all the numbers not being used have been re-allocated to make things easier.

Please read through the first post to update yourself with all the info and pop back to let us know what and how you are doing.

Meantime enjoy the potting and good luck with the challenge :D

Ooo Sue, theres you telling me I should have been Christmas celebrating in October and Lynne telling me its only November  I feel very confuddled now (though I thought everyone on the thread was aware of my ever so slight Christmas passion ;))

No, no, no, jakes-mum! :naughty: I said you could mention it from October onwards, not celebrate it!! Good Heavens woman if you had your way you'd have us all wishing each other Happy Christmas in June!! :rotfl: I know you're slightly Christmas mad, me too, but [STRIKE]we[/STRIKE] you need to be sensible and know where to draw the line! Get excited from September/October on yes, but...!

BTW, if I ordered £30s worth of Christmas cards in one year DH'd think I was barmy!! So, no, I don't think I'll try.

Bad luck with you not being eligable, Westie. :(

A great shame about not being able to give to more kiddies, 32b3, but I guess they have to be careful with such a huge city. I've had no problem getting mine sorted out, but it's a whole lot smalled area than yours. I'm not a bit surprised you're doing the same for next year. :A
You'll be a LOT warmer with your flanelette duvet cover, so cuddly and toasty! :heartpuls:happyhear
SPC member number #037 reporting for duty :D.

Have declared my modest total on the previous thread. For 2016, I will go for £275, which is about £25 a month until November.

Have subscribed to this thread so I can soak up some of the enthusiasm from everyone on here :):xmastree::xmassmile:snow_laug.

It's so good to see you back, peaceandfreedom! :D I've updated your Target, so good luck with it. I'll be holding you to keeping up with us, and yes, it does keep everyone far more motivated! :j Take note of the declaration date for next Nov - the 3rd!

    Great potting, hummingbird...

    ...you also, Kerry!

Unsure without reading more if I need a new number or will keep the same, but whichever it is - Hi there Sue - please may I stay joined?

Edit: read more now and I see I can keep my number as I'm posting just before the end of November. Yippee - done one thing right lol!
    Best wishes all xx

Hello there, Observer!! :hello: You thought is was DECEMBER 5th?!!!! You're as bad as jakes-mum who goes off half-cocked!! :p Bet that won't get passed the censors! ;) Anyway, yes, you're ok with staying in...as if I'd chuck you off! It'll be no problem if you can sort your money out in a couple of days or so, but please pop it on SPC 8 remember!! I had a feeling a lot of folk would go by previous dates (around the 27th Nov), we don't see enough of those people you see!!

I won't ask, skilly, as a lot of others haven't a clue either. :undecided Good saving though.

Naighty naughty, LAM!!! :naughty: You're lucky though as I guessed (hoped) you'd be back, how right I am!! :j Ut's lovely to see you back and your No is somewhere around the 200s. Join in with the chatter more often, it'll leep your incentive up.

You're the same as me, siju, I'm always hot and DH cold so we squabble a bit about the heat and the poor quilt really goes through it!!! Use your imagination in the glasses being the duvet! :rotfl: Good luck to us both, we'll need it!! :(:(

Thanks a lot for the help, Lynne, but LAM knows (or ought to!) how things are done. :D

:xmassmile Be sure to have a lovely Monday, SPCers,..and don't forget your pots!!

Keep an eye out when you go to Glasgow Christmas Market, lexbubbles, though you've probably been there and back by now! BTW, who's S? Ah...DS I guess.

Heaven's no, I'm only 25! :rotfl: S is (one of) my best friends, we only live 2 miles apart so we often meet up and do stuff. Normally the cinema as we both have Cinew*rld Unlimited cards. Sadly all of my other close friends live back down in London, so I only really get to see S. All the time.

The xmas market was far far too busy to keep an eye out for anything. Or do anything except get jostled forwards. That's what we get for going on a Sunday! :rotfl:

Found another 1p wedged under the skirting board (?!) when I was cleaning, and brought back 83p from pub/cinema adventuring.
