Guys... I have an announcement to make...
I FOUND SOME ROADKILL
Went to M*rrisons after the post office to pick up some cat litter and there it was. Just sitting in the 'coin out' slot of the self serve. The most wonderful penny I've ever laid eyes on.
Also potted £1.33 in change from the PO/shop so that's £1.34 in today.
Since I started this 11 days ago, I've put about £10 in my pot and weirdly I don't even miss it. But then I've also managed to put £65 into my savings in that same time, in what has been my second-toughest (financially) month of the year.Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

Love to read everyone's posts as I'm cuddling up to the oil radiator on my lunch. It's nice to know others are out there freezing too  How can I be so cold awake and so hot asleep?
Anyway, managed to pot a couple of pound today; makes a satisfying clunk now when I'm potting.
Hugs to all that need them :grouphug:SPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.830 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry I have been AWOL my Mum had a heart attack last week so have been busy with that, thankfully she is back at home now so can get back to saving
£10 note in the pot this morning to make up for using all my change in the hospital car parks
hope everyone has a great week, hugs to you all xxxxxxx
!!!!!! I hope your Mum gets better quickly, you must have been worried.
Potted some bits of change this weekend after a trip up to London to the theatre - Henry V at the Barbican - wow what an amazing experience! I know now what I'll be spending the rest of my pot money on after Xmas is covered - more trips like that!
I'm so lucky to live a short train ride from London
Re: the cold - I'm a bit tight-fisted about putting the heating on but I've had to put it on for a couple of hours this weekend - even a wheat bag (Edison the elephant!) and 3 blankets while watching TV wasn't really enough :rotfl:
I think the cats are pleased too :rotfl:
