Just wondering does anyone have specific things they're saving up for with their pots? Is it more motivating to have a goal in mind???

This is the 7th? year i've been part of the SP challenge, first year I think I was trying to scrape together £250 for 2 bikes for christmas  then it just became a competition each year to beat the previous years total :D This year is being clubbed together with last years money (yup still have all of it apart from the bit DH and I take out as a well done to us . . read that as ME! but he feels he deserves rewarding for not cracking it open when i'm not home . . to spend as we wish) to pay for a all singing all dancing trip with the rugrats to Orlando. :D

I'd go with either putting the piggy in a safe place and starting a new put OR removing it all and putting it in a separate bank account and making sure you don't use it!

I mostly save mine for the C word but it's my OH's birthday in May so i try to keep the rest for when we go away for his birthday.

Hello everyone, I'm still here, still potting but i'm trialing something new this year where i don't count what i've potted so i haven't been posting. I still read everyones posts though. Next year i think i am going back to counting as i don't think i've potted very much at all. I have a VSP too which i include in this challenge and that's doing a lot better.

    Hope you are all happy

    Ruth

That's because you have me on your back haha, keep going :-)

Argh, that C word :D Great when you're not scrabbling around in December for non-existent cash because you're saving up over the year. Makes such a difference now.

Various silvery coins potted today. :j :j

haha! it is indeed :D i have another update for you too. I'll be over to tell you in a second :j

I emptied my purse into my sealed pot last night. I think i need to get into the habit of doing this maybe every Friday. You can tell it's getting close to November, i'm panicking about not saving enough haha.

I might be going to Canada next month. Work are sending me so it shouldn't cost me anything but i may need to raid the pot to pay for presents and things. This will be the first time i have ever left the UK so i want to bring back lots to remember the trip by.
