A bit of potting for me too. I went away for a night with my mum and I paid for the hotel months ago. Mum paid me her half in cash so I potted it. £35 in the tin.

A monster pot of 17p for me...it would've been more but Small had a swimming lesson and I needed to pay the coach contribution.

Morning everyone! I've been awol again and I can't find my last post without reading too far but, not sure if I reported that I managed to pot my last £35.61 or whatever it was and that was the penny challenge no1 complete before the end of June! That means that I managed to save over £660 in the first 6 months of the year!

I keep forgetting to get another tin to get started on the second one, must try and remember this weekend.

Had a few expenses so not managing to save much at the moment, we needed to get our mad pup (14 months) his booster, and then the week before we took the old girl to the vets for a check up as she hadn't been right. He scanned her an found an abnormally swollen spleen, to the extent that he couldn't see her heart and lungs. We made the decision to put her to sleep as he reckoned that we would have to do it during the week anyway and we didn't want her to suffer. Absolutely gutted, she was a beautiful girl.
We had her cremated and she is back with her beloved partner of 10 years waiting on us at the bridge, I know they'll be running about happy together while they wait.

Oh MrsC...tobe, that's very sad. It's awful saying goodbye, but it's awful to see them suffer too. My condolences xx

My DS, who is still working in America throughout the summer and having a fantastic time messaged me last week to say he has been awarded a 1st Class Honours Degree. DH says I shouldn't crow, but I'm just so proud of him It was so unexpected!

In potting news, I have £1.34 to pot tonight :T
