Well done everyone with keeping your potting going through the year. I think we're all going to appreciate it come November eh :D

I have potted my weekly £10, rushed to get all my jobs done, had my lunch and sat down to watch the tennis. Still in the first set and............ rain has stopped play

Hear hear to your first paragraph, Lynne!! :j Oh dear, I had to laugh at your post re the tennis, I too was somewhat peeved but consoled myself when knowing I wasn't alone with you loving it too. :(:( :):) We both should know better by now as it always rains during the tennis tournaments! So, we'll bank on it raining in the future and just maybe we'll be lucky...or at least not so downtrodden! :rotfl:

BTW another gold star for your help with MrsC...tobe and the post she'd been looking for, many thanks. :staradmin Nice work with another £10er safe!

I see you've got Quidco working well for you, MrsShazbat. :T

£8 potted this week. Very pleased with how this challenge is going. Wish I could shake this blooming hayfever. Feel bloody terrible but at least I sound extra manly as voice gone all husky.

You continue doing really well, Antomac, you've been badly bitten by the saving bug!! :j I can sympathise over the hay fever it makes us all feel so miserable, though mine's better since using Citrizine. Are you taking powerful enough pills? If not see your Dr.

I'm pleased to hear that apart from tiredness you're ok, Saver-upper; it must be a bit of a challenge for you with all 4 of them and you needing to be almost part yourself off into several directions! Still, you've better times and more rest to look forward to! You did well to pot that amount!!

I wonder if any shopkeepers are inundated with a few of us SPCers asking for £2 coins, Selene; imagine their faces with the "are they possessed" looks! ...especially if they're all like jakes-mum!!! :rotfl:Well done anyway.

Nice work with the £10er, Chutney!

Keep safe and healthy Potters and never forget....to KEEP SAVING WELL! :j

Tonight I think I will raid the glass recycling bin at home and get a jar out and seal it up with a hole in the lid for potting. I keep forgetting to get a tin and I have a nice pile of £1 and £2 coins forming, it will only be a matter of time before DH sees them!

Thank you all for your posts about us losing the dog. The young one certainly seems to have settle well without her and he is actually sleeping anywhere in the house now and we've taken his cage out. Only problem with that was, he peed the bed the other morning. Not too bad I hear you say......it was my bed he was on at the time! I woke with the noise and he was sound asleep on his back with his legs in the air! That meant a new quilt and mattress for us!

Heyho, these things are set to try us!

Hi everyone, I'm back from my holiday and had a great time. Peppa Pig World was great, reasonable prices, queues not too long, very clean, sunny day and kids loved it. I got the Legoland tickets with the Sun newspaper so they didn't cost me anything. The day we went there it absolutely poured till 3 pm then was beautiful weather. We had our picnic sitting on plastic bags on a very wet bench while it poured. But the kids were so excited about being there that they didn't complain at all. And we did have nearly 3 hours sunny at the end that made up for the soggy start.

I came home with £25 left in my purse from the £335 I took from my savings pot. I have put this £25 straight into my sealed pot for the big November deadline.

I am so glad I found this thread as I would have had to take this money from my bank account. My sealed tin is really heavy with all the coins and I have no idea at all how much is in it, so I'm sure I'll be pleasantly surprised come the big day xx

Potted a few £ last week and another £1.50 or so this week. Found some change in a pair of jeans i hadn't worn in a while, which has now been potted too. I have also finally got round to doing some ebaying and have sold some skincare items that I had never opened. I am going to leave some of it in my bank and draw some out and pot it. It will go al long way to boosting my total, which I fear won't meet my target, but will still be useful anyway.

    It's so hot!!!

Not popped in for a while as I've been cramming what savings we could into the bathroom replacement fund. BUT I have not robbed my sealed pots to do it so they will still be intact and ready to count up. come Nov
I put £20 in my 1p a day challenge a couple of days ago and £10 in my sealed pot.
I'll keep my birthday money out until After we've been away for our wedding anniversary break incase I see something I want to treat myself to if not that will go in as well

Condolences mrsCtobe it's a very difficult thing to do but a brave and compassionate one.

    Hope all are well.
