Well done with that £5er Saver-upper. Great excuse for tidying up. I must try it. ;)

I have been feeding my pot as much as I can despite having to buy a new washing machine and cooker. I even (sh... don't tell DH) put the £25 we won on the lottery a few weeks ago in the pot. :p

We've just celebrated our 43rd W.A. It doesn't seem possible. Neither of us feel old enough, apart from all the aches and pains of course. :rotfl:

Welcome to any new potters I've missed. Enjoy saving.

    Hugs to all.

just had to check in and say that my tin is nearly full, I'm now having to shake it to make sure the coins go in and stay in - if you know what I mean, it is also very heavy:D

Hi. I'm super late to the party but can I please join SPC #9?

I'm relatively new to the forum and got my Debt Free Diary set up and joined the £10 a day challenge and figured this would be a good way to see what I've made/saved. Then in November I'll shove it all onto my CC. :)

Evening potters, you'll have to excuse any typos I might make, i typing with my thumb and ring finger after trying to put the toaster away and slicing my middle finger open on the inside of one of the grills! Am currently sat here with it wrapped in kitchen roll as it keeps popping open  even managed to accidently bleed all over DD;s shoulder when I gave her a cuddle and my finger stuck to her
Oh dear jakes-mum, that sounds positively horrible not to mentionextremely painful!! I do hope all your fingers very soon get so much better for you and that you're soon back to having full use of both your hands. Trouble is these things so easily and quickly happen, and sadly it's all part of life!! I remember grabbing hold of the cooker ring, with both hands when I wasn't very well once and couldn't do anything for quite to time, not even roll a fag (quite a few years), not easy with the kiddies to care for, though hubby, as always, was marvellous in doing all he could between working hours. Take GREAT care! More good savings, Florence, or should I say donations! ;) Happy measuring and if you're at all like jakes-mum you'll be using that ruler every day!! :rotfl:

I've been the same now for 2 weeks (as yesterday). It started on holiday, feeling like the onset of a cold but I haven't had any fever. Last week I was very throaty, wheezy and sinus-y (SO snotty!!) and it took about a week for my faithful Benadryl to really kick in and I'm just about back to normal now. I was the same last year (my hay fever is usually done once all the trees are out) and according to my SIL there had been a spike in pollen, so I can only assume a similar thing happened this year.
Ah but there are a few different pollens that affect us, MrsShazbat, as well as flowers there's grass as well as actual hay and trees too, even spores from fungi can start us off!! :eek:All best wishes for your Mr Cumberbatch being there on the night, though even if he's not then at least you and your friend will enjoy the trip out. I do hope her op will have worked well this time round and that she'll soon be ok. Ahh, you're so kindhearted, AntoMac, I bet the poor chap was grateful and so lovely the little girl shared the other with the little brother, well done you!! Well done too with your potting and 20p 'find'!! Brilliant potting Saver-upper with your £5 find as well!! Are you SURE you finally got the housework done...?! ;) Very well saved, Chutney, and no sign of you being in a pickle come Christmas is there?!! :D

Oh Modesty reading that the £25 win did eventually find its way into the pot made me whoop with delight!!!!! :j Your DH would be quite chuffed at you being so shrewd....if he ever found out!!!!! :rotfl:A real shame about needing the new washer AND cooker at the same time.....life eh! :(
Congratulations to you both on your 43rd Wedding Anniversary!! :bdaycake: WOW you're doing well with saving, mummytummy!!!! :T A new pot is needed to be on standby!!
Ok then, folks, have a lovely week!! :j Keep those pots topped up! :naughty:

Got my pot ready. It’s a ceramic hippy-looking, hand-painted camper van pot which I bought around Christmas time for £1 from an animal charity stall. Ready to rock and roll! Put a token £1 in while I get what is straight into the CC account and what is going in the pot. Wish me luck!
