Hello, Can i join? My brother has returned from Vietnam and has given me a sealed floral piggy bank. It is perfect to begin this challenge with.

I have made my first deposit of 20p and look forward to smashing it on November 3rd (It is quite ugly)

Sue I am 95% sure that the smiley sealed tins are from Poundland. I distinctly remember seeing them somewhere and I rarely go to B&M but very often go to Poundland so it is more likely to be from there. I will keep an eye out and if I see them again confirm where they are :)

TheCatsandDogsMother Happy birthday to the puppy, although poor thing! Hope he gets better soon and avoids the injuries for a while!

Florence J Welcome to the thread! Our lovely leader Sue-UU will be along soon to give you a number of your very own. :D In the meantime the opening post has a lot of useful information for you to read through - including how to get money out of a terramundi (sealed pot) without smashing it! Instead of smashing your pot, why don't you sell it come November 3rd and use the proceeds to buy a new pot more to your liking, or regift it at Christmas and use the money saved for a nicer pot? Or better still, put a new sealed pot on your Christmas list and get replacement for £0! ;)

In other news... I have potted £2 in my holiday pot and have roughly £5 in various coinage waiting to go into my sealed pot which is currently in a "safe" location that's so safe I can't seem to find it again :o At least I know it's somewhere in the house, I just need to declutter a bit more to find it again :rotfl:

Thanks for a great welcome, Selene, a lovely gold star is yours! :staradminThanks also re the smilie pot too, it sounds as though it must have been £land and if you'd keep an eye out for them I'd be grateful.

Good night and morning all Potters! :hello: I hope you all have a lovely Thursday. If you watch Wimbledon, do what I do and love every ball!!!!

Best wishes to all those of you who aren't well, here are some {{{hugs}}} to help you get better soon, those who may be feeling low too. Do know though that your wonderful SPC family are thinking of you. :grinheart

Ahh, so there you are at last, 32b3, had I known better I'd have been convinced you'd done a bunk with your pot under your arm! ;) I'm pleased you've popped in though and hope work improves, or should I perhaps say, slackens off a little. Well done with the saving.

Fantastic news, Tizzi!!!! I'm absolutely thrilled to bits for you, what a great weight off your shoulders! :T You can save now....just for yourself!! Well done indeed. :j

Oh well, at least you tried for me, Saver-upper, though are you certain there's not a Sue's SPC one?!! :( If not there should be; what a thought eh! :j

Hey Sue...How are you doing? I'm loving running the Thread and have a great bunch of people on there...so I'm very grateful and lucky....

I'm still saving up for various things and should have a nice Total to declare on here at the end of the Year....so I'm really pleased with myself right now....

Hi Helen!!:hello: It's lovely to have you drop in and see us. So good to know everything's going well on your thread, not just for you but all those you're keeping motivated too! I look forward to seeing what that total is too. :D

Brilliant news from you too then, TheCatsandDogsMother, it's always wonderful when folk start to get their finances back in order! So chuffed for you and keep up that great work! :T

Ah, so the pup is growing then, yet still the little monkey provides you more headaches! I hope he's soon better - again! Then to mature a little and not be such a daredevil perhaps....we'll see. ;)

I see the emptying of your purse very often reveals good things eh, siju, better in that pot!! :D

You soon start off on the next project, jakes-mum, and why not when you get such great results. Good on the cash front too.

£10 in the pot after a speedy shop today - then it was back to TV and Wimbledon!! Well folks, have a lovely Thursday and Friday I might be back before the weekend, but just in case I'm not....

Be sure to thoroughly enjoy the WEEKEND, Potters. Don't forget though...keep the feeding up!

    Sue xx

  • The puppy is in surgery today for his eye, it ended up being worse than first thought and refused to heal.
On a positive note I've had a number of no spending days this week and with all the food in the house should have some next week as well :) this means more money for my pot.

Your poor pup, I really he hope he will be ok and recover quickly, a bit like kiddies no doubt and that he'll soon bounce back, possbily quite literally with him! :D He's costing you a small fortune! Still, at least you have a positive side, thank goodness! ;)
