I found about 34p while tidying the house yesterday so I considered that cleaners wages and potted it.

I know Lily has inherited her eye problem from her DD, jakes-mum, and it may be a pest, but at least it was nothing worse!!

Put another £6 in £2s in the tin tonight. Thought I was going to have to raid it for the notes that are in there after a hen weekend we're going on this weekend, had the potential to get suddenly more expensive. Long story short, apartment we booked was sold and our booking cancelled (did I mention we were going there on FRIDAY??) so we were looking at alternatives but 10 people into 2 nights of accommodation in Manchester at such short notice just doesn't go. We have other stuff provisionally booked that we really wanted to do, plus the hen really wants to go still (she doesn't know all the details but knows we're going to Manchester). Anyway, it looks like we're cramming it all into the one day, getting the last train back and all we have to do is change the train tickets. We got a full refund on the apartment booking (should've taken up to 7 days but our organiser wouldn't get off the phone till she'd got it) so that will at least pay for the other activities which is a saving, in a way.

Anyway, it looks like the tin is safe. And anything extra that I take out of the bank but don't spend, will go in the tin when I get home.

Poor MrsShazbat that must have been so stressful for all involved. Well done to your organiser for being so persistant I'm sure it'll be great fun, but a last minute reorganisation is the last thing you need.

Mrs Shazbat, I'm probably far too late in mentioning this, and I don't even know if they still exist, but when we were in Manchester for my SILs hen doo, we stayed at Days Inn Serviced Apartments. Might be worth a look as I know that some of them booked last minute for that.
