Costa use Monin syrups so anywhere that stocks those. There's a few other brands on Amaz*n as well, and places like TK Maxx/Homesense usually have syrups stocked.

I use the orange spice choc shot in my coffee and now I need the drool smiley again :rotfl:

Thanks, I had a quick look when I left here and the monin ones are they ones I found, bit scared to order a bottle though as it has cinnamon in it _pale_ as much as I love ginger, I hate cinnamon! I'm know i'm odd :rotfl:

I have some orange choc shot  may try that too..

Finally getting my new actifry today:T (I melted the lead on the last one :o) so going to do the HB steak thing in the slow cooker tomorrow and serve with chips and veg

As I'm having an ok day i'll post my menu
    B - apple, yogurt(4), granola (0.5heb)
L - leftover BNS lasagne (hea), salad
T - roast chicken, rice, egg, stir fry veg, jelly/yogurt pudding
    S - crisps (4) crumpet (4) thorntons advent choc (2?)

I realised the yogurt I had was the Rachels organic coconut stuff so mega syns :(

Change of plan at lunchtime! The salmon burgers didn't want to defrost in time and wouldn't cook so ended up binning them and having some ham instead - probably went better with the fried up potatoes & veg anyway. Had beetroot, pickled onions and HM onion chutney with it.

Will probably have some fruit shortly, once I've had a cuppa!

That's OK debjay, certainly on plan and plenty of Speed. All I'd say is that it doesn't look like a huge amount of food and while occasionally not having a HEB won't matter you should try and plan it in. If you don't like cereal, bread or crackers you could have things like stewed fruit or tinned soup.

I'm assuming no syns so you can try to rein back weekend's excesses.:D

    Back soon;).

Thanks Maman. That's the plan to save syns for the weekend. I do occasionally have overnight oats so will get my HEB there probably 2-3 times per week. One day at the weekend we like to have scrambled egg and smoked salmon on a muffin or similar. I know muffins aren't HEB but a small wholemeal roll is. How many syns is a wholemeal muffin?

That's 8 syns! I think I'd persevere having the egg and salmon on a slice of HEB toast.;)

Another messed about Monday here and a nibbly party to go to tonight at my dance class.

    Today's EE menu:
B: HEB porage with HEA milk
L/D (about 3.30 p.m.) savoury mince, new potatoes, cabbage, peas
Syns: whatever I can't avoid at the party. I'm hoping to have plenty of veg sticks and minimal dip but it all depends what people bring. I'm taking some smoked salmon.

It's not good that we'll be eating so early so I might be genuinely hungry when we eat later (9 p.m?). Maybe I'll have some sort of snack before I go out like ham and fruit.
  • Afternoon all. Thankyou for all the birthday wishes. You will be pleased to hear DH dragged me out at 7pm last night. We went for a meal then met up with a friend in town. Got VERY drunk and had such a good laugh, just what I needed.

Today I got up and walked to town and back (a mile each way). All uphill on the way back too. I did have a subway for lunch, but have the brown bread and just meat and onion. No sauces.

I'm going to group tonight, and feeling positive that I can get back on track once I have seen the damage. I have 1 day out planned on Wednesday. A annual birthday shopping trip to York with the girls. It will involve a meal and cocktails however lots of walking and carrying heavy bags will be done. I figure I can save syns through the week and flexi syn on Wednesday. Nothing else planned. Won't be going out as I can't really afford it as we are decorating this week so will be avoiding the takeaways too.

Wish me luck guys. I will be back late tonight to update my gain.

Thankyou for all your support this week. Sometimes it feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but today there is defiantly a glimmer there. Best make the most of it!

  • Belated birthday wishes CP:bdaycake: So pleased you eventually had a great time. Enjoy your trip to York :D

Weighing in tonight for me too I'm afraid and not holding out too much hope after having a sneaky weigh at Mums this morning. This is what normally happens when there is a new shiney close by but I dont think I will be bringing it home with me tonight :rotfl:

    Wedding sounded lovely fos.

Well done losers and big fat hugs to anyone struggling. It is so damned difficult particulary at this time of the year when we are surrounded by all the temptations.

Will try to get back on later to report in with result.

Hope you all have a good week.

Hi all, happy birthday CP and well done to all the losers... hugs to any who want them too xx

I lost 1.5 lbs this week, arrogantly thought it would be more but I did slack off a bit at the weekend. Not unhappy with that though, at least it's in the right direction this time.

    RE: Weight plateauing

I was chatting to my Mum on Sunday and she made a comment which is worth mentioning...
My Mum said "Although I have been the same weight for over two months now, I still feel as though I have lost weight."

Mum has noticed her tops and trousers, pants are looser indicating fat loss, also her bra has to be worn tighter (different back clip fasteners). New underwear had to be purchased because the old ones were too loose!
Maybe continuing the SW eating plan while plateauing is sinful, there may be evidence of continued fat-loss, redistribution, or conversion from fat to muscle.
    Comments please.

Think I will persevere. Thanks Maman. Why is it ok to have 2 slices of 400g loaf but only 1 from 800g? Aren't they the same size slices? Is it any wholemeal bread? Looking at the book it mentions specific brands. Sorry for all of the questions but, for now, you guys are my group.
