Rebster - you could put the mincemeat in little cups of filo pastry, so it's an almost mince pie!
My Facebook feed has had amazing Christmas recipes popping up all day. Needless to say none of them are SW friendly!
Had my 1st takeaway in nearly 3 months tonight. Had an Indian. Worked it out to about 24 syns so not too bad and I haven't eaten much the rest of today. Hopefully won't have too much of a negative impact on the scales!0 -
The baked apple and mincemeat that maman linked above is fab. I've also done that with the apple chopped up and spread baked oats batter on top as a double HEB. Like Christmas crumble :drool:Must find where to get sugar free gingerbread syrup from, (looooveee ginger ) otherwise i'm going to have to rob some from c0sta
Costa use Monin syrups so anywhere that stocks those. There's a few other brands on Amaz*n as well, and places like TK Maxx/Homesense usually have syrups stocked.
I use the orange spice choc shot in my coffee and now I need the drool smiley again :rotfl:0 -
Tomorrow's menu:
B Melon
L Chicken salad and sugar free jelly (1/2 syn)
D SW Macaroni Cheese with salad using HEA
S Apple, banana and satsuma
Drinks water and green tea
Does that sound about right?0 -
Shala - the wedding wasn't at all Christmassy but lovely all the same. Our nephew married in his Police dress suit and looked really smart - never seen him in anything other than jeans & t-shirt or rugby gear (he plays for a local team!) so usually scruffy and/or muddy! The bride wore a really girly wedding dress - again completely different to anything she would normally wear - her usual gear is jeans & t-shirt!
I thorough enjoyed my syns Maman - it's the first time I've ever had Dominos pizza! and only the first time I've had ready made pizza since starting SW so over 5 years! Although I have made my own in that time with extremely thin crust.
Had a good on plan day yesterday and planning another today. Will be sticking to plan up until we leave to go on holiday on Friday evening.
Today's plan is using up stuff in fridge and freezer (want to empty and defrost this week - without having to throw anything away and just keep my fridge/freezer indoors switched on)
B - scrambled eggs on toast;
L - HM salmon burger (from freezer); fried up leftover potatoes & onions will also add some chopped peppers & peas. Will probably have some pickles as well to up the Speed a bit
D - LO roast beef, chips, beans and more pickles!
Have satsumas, strawberries & grapes to snack on and up the Speed a bit more.
HEA - 1% milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - bread
No syns planned as yet but will have some if needed.

Morning all
Reporting in with a STS this week - I'm not surprised, must try harder!
I'm shocked at the amount of Syns in coffee! I know we've discussed it here before, but it shows how easy it would be to get into a habit of drinking it everyday, but you could drink more Syns than there are in wine. I only like coffee black - the smell of milky coffee turns my stomach. _pale_
I agree about the baked apple with mincemeat - before we left England the Bramleys in Morrisons were really nice so I had one as an Heb several times with some 0% Greek yogurt - it's making my mouth water thinking about it! They don't do cooking apples here, but I did bring the remains of the mincemeat so I might try an eating apple instead - I got some Granny Smiths last week that were as tart as a Bramley.
I'm eating out again today - DH is playing golf with a society and the non golf playing partners are joining them at the golf course afterwards so we'll be eating at about 3. We had porridge (Heb) for breakfast and I'm hoping that will keep me going until then, and we won't need anything later.
Have a good day everyone, good luck with your weigh ins.

Morning all!
Menu today:
B - 1 x hifi, activia, clementine
L - jacket potato, beans, cheese (hea), salad, dressing (0.5)
D - Tarragon chicken (0.5), rosemary potatoes, roasted med veg, ff greek yoghurt, berries
S - 1 x hifi (heb), banana, popcorn (4), kitkat (5.5), jelly (0.5)
4 syns left to play with if needed.0 -
SP today...
Breakfast - Oatbran porridge with quark and berries, coffee (HEB1 + 1/2 HEA)
Lunch - Ham, mushroom and spinach omelette (1/2 HEA for cheese)
Dinner - Sausage and bean stew
Pudding - Hifi bar (HEB2)
The stew is a Nigel Slater recipe that I love, going to try the Heck paprika sausages in place of the chorizo to save syns. That should make each portion half a syn (using 8 sausages) instead of about 6!
I've been craving grapefruit for some reason, think it's because people in my group have been raving about pomelos this week so sharp citrus is stuck in my head. So think I'm going to pop out and get some, will have that as an afternoon snack.0 -

That's OK debjay, certainly on plan and plenty of Speed. All I'd say is that it doesn't look like a huge amount of food and while occasionally not having a HEB won't matter you should try and plan it in. If you don't like cereal, bread or crackers you could have things like stewed fruit or tinned soup.
I'm assuming no syns so you can try to rein back weekend's excesses.:D
Back soon;).0
