    Morning :)

Maman - we were basking in hazy sunshine yesterday but the sun is well hidden behind the clouds today. (Not complaining tho.;))

Abbafan - don't worry about the gain, it's very likely to be connected with the cystitis and will soon be gone when you're better. Get well soon.

Shala - aiming to maintain over the Christmas period is a good idea. I think it's good to have time off as long as you set a limit on it. Are you starting again on New Year's Day?

I went off plan yesterday - we went to a big shopping centre and had tapas for lunch, I try to choose items that look SW friendly but they usually have oil added. Having said that the Mediterranean diet is supposed to be the healthiest, although the white crusty bread probably isn't. The tapas alone wouldn't have been so bad but we had coffee later in the afternoon and couldn't resist the cake the cafe was promoting. It was plain cake, no cream or icing , and it was lovely. :o

Sticking to plan today :A but eating out again tomorrow so hoping for SW friendly options.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Think yesterday was definitely a Flexiday!!! Probably had a weeks worth of syns - mainly wine. Was quite good foodwise apart from a small piece of pizza and a couple of mini sweet bits.

Back on plan today with an EE day:

    B - SW fry up
L - not sure yet but either ham salad sandwich or a HM veg soup & bread
D - roast beef, roast potatoes, roast onions, green veg. May have a small yorkshire.

HEA - 1% milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread

    Syns - yorkshire pud 2

Did the therapist give you any strategies to use to try to avoid bingeing, like the distraction technique which is very useful for giving up smoking?

    LL :)

Yeah plenty, it took a while to find one that worked for me. One of the ones was to keep a bar of chocolate in my handbag. That way, I knew it was always there is I needed it. It did help and I'm gonna revert back to it I think. The aim is to know there is something there if I NEED it..... By having nothing there the risk of going to the shop and spending a tenner on chocolate was much greater and having that 1 bar and just subconsciously knowing it was there helped me resist the shops.

Its my birthday today. Not up to much. Think DH and the kids want me to go out but its gonna take all my strength to get dress and remove this black cloud from my head.

Happy birthday CP, hope you are able to get out and enjoy it!

Abbafan, I wouldn't worry about the gain. I doubt the scales were wrong (unless everyone got bad results they weren't expecting) but as Lois said, it is almost certainly down to the cystitis. So your actual loss should show once that's cleared up.

    Today is back to SP...
    Breakfast - Arla protein, berries and 20g all bran (1/2 HEB1 + 1 syn)
Lunch - Salmon and broccoli SW quiche, spinach salad
Dinner - Hunter's chicken with BNS chips and green beans (HEA)
    Pudding - Frozen yogurt (4 syns) with a hifi light (1/2 HEB1)

I know the chicken was on yesterday's plan, but DH had to work late so we ended up just having a simple dinner. So having it today instead. Still need to work out my other HEB, but sure I can come up with something.

I had a moment of weakness the other day and a big bar of Milky Bar ended up in my shopping. But I'm happy to say that I didn't open it, even when I felt rubbish yesterday, and this morning I put it in the food bank bag. I'm sure that will cheer someone up this Christmas!

Happy Birthday CP. I do hope you manage to get yourself fabbed up and out to enjoy it. I'm sure you'll feel better for making the effort.:)

Back from group. 1.5lb loss please shala

A bit disappointed as wanted to get my 1.5stone award and I'm still a pound away

    Menu today:

    B - banana, 2 x hifi (heb)
    L - subway salad (1.5)
D - Cottage pie (hea), ff greek yoghurt, cherries
    S - activia, popcorn (4) kitkat (5.5), clementine

:T that's a good loss so do try not to be disappointed. 1.5lbs a week is 5.5 stone in a year.:D

Hope you don't mind me saying but you didn't seem to eat very much food in total yesterday. :)

You're so right. I just looked up my book and I got into target range on 9th June and didn't reach target until 18th August! It seemed endless at the time but I got there in the end and have stayed there for 4 years!;)

Glad you enjoyed the cake lois. There's nothing worse than having syns and not enjoying them. Hope you enjoyed yours too denise, every last drop.:rotfl:

    My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast
    L: yet more soup!
D: roast pork, SW roasties, cauli, broccoli, carrot & swede mash, red cabbage
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, gravy

While I've been eating EESP for all meals but not most dinners, I've not been having the extra HEX as I haven't been 100%. Gravy will be very synful as I'm doing the JO pork on a trivet of veg and while he whizzes it into the gravy (onions, celery, garlic and carrots) I just eat it (sometimes straight from the roasting tin:o). I'll do my best to discard the crackling as soon as I can though.

Thanks Lois, I know it's a bit of a copout to not try and lose but in all honestly I know i'm not going to do it :o so my happy medium is to not put any on :D Probably start the day I go back to work, so the 4th Jan - when the new challenge starts!

Denise, was it a Christmassy wedding you went too? i'd have loved a Christmassy wedding.. so pretty.

    Happy Birthday CP _party__party__party_ x

Been out to the local city xmas market this morning, it wasn't great.. but we met friends there, they were treating themselves to hot chocs from C0sta :( very jealous... so I've come home and made myself a gingerbread hot chocolate - does anyone knows the syns of the Costa ones to compare please?

I used - options hot choc, milk(hea), ground ginger, ginger syrup (1tsp) and squirty cream so I reckon 4-5 syns? Options do a ginger flavoured hot choc but I can't find it in any of the stores around here :(

Just off to start a big roast dinner, so pretty much on plan today at it will be loads of speed :j will cut up some carrot sticks to snack on whilst in the kitchen!!

    Hope everyone is ok xxx
