Maman - haven't tried the recipe but the one on the 5-2 diet website works out about 1 syn per portion - just uses 1 Tbs of reduced fat creme fraische per portion.

Thanks denise. DH has ordered it for his Christmas meal tomorrow so I'm sure it would be popular here or even a beef stroganoff heavily laden with (Speed;)) mushrooms as he's not a veggie.

Your Christmas meal sounded good lois, unusual.
Can you only quote a certain amount of post?

Anyway, yes I'm feeling a little more positive today. Haven't done brilliant, but done MUCH better. Just had some cereal for my supper and walked the dog.

    CP xx

That's another good technique, distraction. Just make sure you don't walk the dog to the sweetie shop;):).

You're right. I think 3 is the maximum in multi quotes.

Made my Stroganoff and it was lovely.

Fried off beef strips, in garlic and paprika added onion and mushroom. Added more paprika and some Dijon mustard and one of those Oxo Herbs and more stock cubes. Let it all reduce down, took off the heat and then added 0 % fat fromage frais.

It was really lovely, had with mash and green veg.

Thanks Lantanna for your stroganoff recipe - hadn't thought about using fromage frais. From what you've said I assume that didn't split! Might give that a try when I next do one - it'll be beef not mushroom as my DH isn't too keen on a mushroom one (it will of course have loads of mushrooms in it but he'll definitely need the meat!)

Maman as you can see from the above my DH isn't too keen on veggies meals although he'll tolerate one from time to time but usually moans about it - but then takes LOs for his lunch next day, so can't be that bad!

As usual it'll be an EE day today:

B - scrambled eggs on toast (HEB); strawberries, grapes &/or statsuma
L - LO chicken curry over jacket potato (plenty of Speed in the curry!)
D - Fish pie (cheating by using a packet of cheese sauce mix so 3 syns). Will probably have some more fruit after to increase the Speed level as none in the fish pie.

    HEA - 1% milk
    HEB - bread

    Syns - cheese sauce; wine

No Denise I was impressed it didn't split. My sister favours it for cooking over the rest so thought I'd give it a try too.

I got the Tesco Healthy Living one must go off now and check it for syns.

    Morning all :)

CP - pleased to hear you're feeling more positive. Was it you that was having counselling to help you with bingeing?

Lantanna - that stroganoff sounds delicious, I might give it a go if I can find something like fromage frais in the shops.

I missed Doctor in the House last night as we had friends round, I think it's repeated at the weekend, so I'll watch out for it. I've seen the previous episodes and he really gets to the heart of the problems within the family and has surprising results. We could all do with a visit from him!

    Have a good weekend everyone.

He'd have to move in with me for a least a month :rotfl:to get anywhere with me.

I'm going to try a chicken version of the Stroganoff and maybe add some chopped up bacon at some stage.

Well done to all the losers. I'm a bit disappointed to report losing 1lb this week.
