Maman - thanks for tip! I need to get around to trying cottage cheese generally. It's one of those things that I've always been put off eating because of its diet food reputation!0

Afternoon slimmers
It's 1lb gain for me this week, I'm just pleased it wasn't more as it was expected so I'm not too down in the dumps about it. The scales are still showing 10 st something so I'm happy with that.
Christmas week will be a bit of a dodgy one for me. Christmas Eve is a buffet and drinks at my in-laws for our extended family and there's always pastry bits and bobs floating about, and endless drinks. Christmas Day is usually ok, I just need to stay out of my mam's kitchen where there'll chrimbo cake and biscuits and all sorts of yummy stuff. The 28th is my birthday so there'll be lots of cake, booze and restaurant food. Aside from those 3 days I'll try my best to eat SW friendly. I won't pig out like I did last year (I ate cream cakes for breakfast on my birthday  ) It's only a day or 2 off plan in the grand scheme of things, as long as it doesn't turn into 2 weeks of bingeing I reckon we'll all be ok
Today's food:
B - fruit & fibre HEB plus banana (mid morning snack apple & persimmon)
L - Was full after lunch so I've not eaten anything yet .. see what I feel like later
T - diet coke pork with potatoes and veg
Limiting syns today as I've had dunked too many biscuits in my coffee earlier and a big chocolate coin somehow fell into my mouth
Have a good day everyone

I love cottage cheese, I'm always eating it. I had some this morning with HEB Toast and tomato.
Yeah I'm glad I went, I need the pressure of someone elses scales right now and I've been away from a group for so long now it seems a bit new to me again. I hope it helps. Even if I gain every week I feel I'm better there right now than not. I've kind of wandered away from having a specific weigh in day at home
Fingers crossed I get something off next week, even with my xmas dinner on Saturday.
I def couldn't face being in that queue of people who join in January, feeling glad I've got myself back in there now and hopefully more in control!
Not sure if it is of any interest to people but they were talking last night about an M&S Gastropub Fish Casserole that's free. It is £7 so expensive but meant to be really nice0 -

I don't like the texture of cottage cheese so when I use it I whizz it up a bit to make it smoother - the texture will be more like sour cream then! Might be worth a try.

Another good reason for joining now rather than after Christmas. Have to say when I started if there had been loads of people starting I probably wouldn't even have gone through the door that day! As it was it took me 3 attempts (that's 3 weekly visits!) to make it into the room, but glad I did eventually.

At that price it would need to be really nice:rotfl:; do you know if the pack's big enough for 2 people or just one? Assume you'd need to do some mashed potatoes or celeriac or BNS with it to make it stretch a bit more?

3 Visits, Denise, Wow! I'm glad you made it in. You forget that it can be daunting for new members esp ones that have no experience of weightloss groups at all. I wonder how many people do that and don't ever make it in.
Yes its meant for 2 people. It is pricey but apparently has scallops in it. I've never seen it before but I'll look out for it now but doubt I'll ever buy it unless its on offer.0 -
There were about a dozen new starters the week I joined in October. Consultant said it was larger than she got in January! But I actually felt better than if I'd been the sole new person. A poor woman walked into our group last week and looked really bewildered. Social ladies were off and it was a stand-in consultant, so a bit of a mess really. Surprised she didn't walk straight back out again, I would have.
Also surprised to see a gastropub meal free, they're normally calorific! But that might mean it's gluten free, so I might check it out for a treat.0 -

Definitely!!!:T
It's strange in that I really like cottage cheese but I never eat yogurt unless on fruit instead of cream and then the thick one.
When I went to SW first I just walked in on my own but I was an hour late so just slotted into a chair at the back. It wasn't my fault, they had changed the times but not updated the website. So I just made what I could of the little bit of Image Therapy that I heard, was given a book afterwards and had my starter talk in Week 2. All a bit ar*e about face but I managed somehow. The rest is history!:D0 -
Lantanna I'm glad you like your new group! It's nice when everyone is friendly and your consultant is welcoming, I've heard some horror stories! I'm lucky in that respect too, my group seems pretty nice too!
Wizkid, your mushroom soup, is it homemade or shop bought?? I love mushrooms
Weigh in tomorrow morning, I'm not expecting a loss, I've not done a food diary at all this week due to feeling rough and have had some unexpected and definitely high syn meals this week... I can't seem to get my game face on
I have my work doo in a posh hotel on Sunday and I'm having to buy a posh dress, I'm dreading the photos! I feel annoyed at myself for not sticking to plan 100%, knowing I have to look half decent on Sunday!
Does anyone else have reverse Body Dysmorphia Syndrome where in your head you look amazing then you catch sight of yourself in a mirror and realise you look a total state?? I always think I'm more attractive than I actually am :rotfl:
Tonight:
I had bacon medallions, mushrooms, tomato, 3 ryveta with 1 35g pot Philly light when I got in at 7am (HeB/1/2 HeA)
Not eaten yet, not long woke up, might go and make some pasta quickly with chopped tomatoes, bacon, onions, mushrooms.
Will prob take a portion to work too or a portion of chicken/CSM/sproots
