She says most people opt for option 2, and select 3 days over the festive period.
CP xx
What I intend to do is a meal plan which will be based on SW so still plenty of lean meat and veg and pickles which isn't difficult for Christmas itself. I'll try and hit the satsumas rather than the chocolate but allow a few treats like extra wine syns and a few crisps with the turkey sandwiches. What I find hardest isn't when we're at home over the holiday but when we go to nibbly parties with buffets that have the samosas and spring rolls and loads of pastry things. I think what matters most of all is that you get back to it ASAP. I think that matters meal to meal and day to day. Please can you put me down for a sts for The last 2 weeks? I'm annoyed but going to start again tomorrow, I have my homework from group (a food diary) so cross fingers next week I'll have a loss xx
I think sometimes, just the fact you have to write it down helps to stay on track. If you've got time, post your daily menu on here and we can help. That way you don't need to wait until the end of the week for advice:).0 -
Good morning, STS for me this week, despite opting for a Muller Light instead of a Blue Riband last night
Hoping for a bit of movement next week when I'm back in a routine.

Morning,
Enjoyed my new groupThey seemed nice and it was one I stopped at one the way home from work so no one knows me and no one I know will go to it
There was about 15 stayed which was a good number.
I told them about my history and they were all lovely and supportive. Came away thinking I can do this
Glad to have started now.
Re Christmas, I'll be having Christmas Day to have whatever I want. But as Maman says its not difficult to keep it quite sw friendly. I will have a few chocolates but not many.
Boxing Day will be off plan but probably won't eat as much as Xmas.
New Years Eve I'll be off plan as well, maybe an Indian and there is a big bag of Salt and Vinegar with my name on it somewhere for Xmas Eve but other than that I intend on being good mostly.
Last year I felt a bit deprived to be honest and spent the month of December stuffing my face with things I hadn't had in a long time like McDonalds, Chippy & Subway etc. This year I haven't been deprived so I'll not be doing that.0 -
Glad you enjoyed your new group Lantanna and that everyone was supportive & friendly. I'm sure you've made the right decision starting now and not after Christmas - it's amazing how much you can put on when you're just nibbling all the time.
I've been struggling again this week - it's as if I'm in holiday mode already and we don't go until the evening of the 11th! I may not weigh this week but I'll see what my scales say Thursday am before group!
Definitely need to get back on plan - will be glad when the nice cheese has been eaten and the choc fingers! Will make life so much easier!!!
Was hoping to stay within syns yesterday but DH opened a bottle of wine to have with dinner and then had another after dinner so 12 syns gone just like that - and I'd already planned for 7 syns so over for the day. Will need to do a recount to see if I can have any syns today:(.
Having a Green day today so an extra HEA & HEB:D:
B - porridge made with water & splash of milk; satsuma
L - HM lentil and veg soup; soup; cheese on toast. Think I'll make enough soup for a couple of days
D - mixed bean goulash with rice
HEA1 - milk in tea
HEA2 - splash of milk in porridge; a little cheese
HEB1 - porridge
HEB2 - bread with soup
Will try not to have any syns.

Morning everyone!
Menu today:
B - 1 x hifi, clementine, activia
S - 1 x hifi (heb)
L - Eden project soup, banana
S - Kitkat (5.5)
D - Tuna pasta bake (hea), ff greek yoghurt, raspberries
E - rice cakes? jelly?
Re christmas I won't be counting from xmas eve to boxing day. My consultant is holding an open weigh day on xmas eve so will get weighed first thing in the morning. I then don't have group until the 2nd so I have quite a while to recover things. Although I won't be counting, I will be adjusting things where I can. Normally on christmas eve we have takeaway. Instead I will be making SW chilli in the slow cooker with rice in the rice cooker. There will be sour cream and tortilla crisps for everybody else. I will be having a slice of my traditional white chocolate cake though! Christmas day isn't too bad anyway except for the pudding, bread sauce and sausages and bacon. It's keeping check on the nibblies that will be the problem and the same goes for the boxing day buffet! I don't drink very much anyway but will probably factor in a bottle of wine over the 3 days.0 -
So pleased the group felt right for you lantanna. It'll give you something to focus on. It's good to plan and prepare but we mustn't forget there's more than three weeks to go before Christmas. Just think of all the SW friendly meals we can fit in between any parties. Even if it feels like damage limitation it's worth it.
Are you off to France again denise?
It'll be interesting to see how/if your different work routines and weightloss match up tete.
musogirl, I'd really recommend trying some cottage cheese with your chilli. I think it's a good (syn free) alternative to sour cream, just put a spoon on the side rather than stirring it in.. I'm having some tonight.:)
We've got football tonight so obligatory half Crunchie. I'm having rice again (bad planning:o) as I need a quick meal before going out. I have a special mug/cup that I use to measure two portions of rice so at least that limits carbs. When I do potatoes/chips I'm often guilty of throwing a couple extra in.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk for drinks
L: lentil and veg soupSW chilli with rice and cottage cheese
Syns: scrape of spread, half Crunchie0 -
+1LB for me this week. Clearly trying to maintain is difficulty!!
I have definitely had extra he's this week and definitely my full allocation of syns which I don't always so I shall endeavour to improve this week.
Got some broccoli and Stilton soup on the go for lunch mmmmmmm0 -
Hi Maman - you guessed right - France again for just over 3 weeks :j - we don't come back until 3 January 2016 (seems funny typing that, LOL!). Pretty certain there will be a gain on return but I'll worry about that later and hope it doesn't take as long to lose as it did after my holiday in September! At least I won't be eating christmas cake and mince pies - but plenty of french bread, cheese & red wine!
Noticed you got the same lunch as me again today - we seem to do that quite often, don't we?

Morning (just) all! (ETA - well, it was morning when I started typing :rotfl: ) Glad you enjoyed your new group lantanna.
Another Christmas point for me... because my Christmas week weigh in is Boxing Day, it's been cancelled. Found out that my consultant runs a Thursday morning class though so can attend that one. Thought she only did evening classes through the week, and I didn't want to suddenly switch between morning and evening weigh-ins so wasn't planning to weigh in that week at all. She's going to have four groups weighing in then though, so expecting it to be jam packed!
On to today... feeling really bloated. I was fully expecting it due to TOM but it's a bit annoying as I know it'll impact my loss this week even staying on plan and I was getting used to the nice numbers each week. Not going to let it phase me though, I know the work will show on the scale eventually!
Breakfast - Arla Protein (1 syn) with berries and granola (1/2 HEB). Choc shot latte (1/2 HEA + 0.5 syn)
Lunch - Leftover pulled pork and BNS
Dinner - Omelette (1/2 HEA for cheese) and salad
Pudding - Hifi Light (1/2 HEB)
Still need to fit another HEB in there somewhere. Maybe one of my regular HiFis - not really a fan of them, but need to use them up eventually!0
