Breakfast
2 bacon medallions, two eggs fried in frylight and HE wholemeal toast.
Lunch probably omelette or pasta in sauce with fruit to follow.
Dinner
I made SW meatballs with home made tomato sauce with loads of veg yesterday and have some left so might add butter beans and more chopped fresh tomato to it and reheat.
Has anyone else seen the holly daze feature online showing how easy it is to rack up syns. I thought I had done well and found most of them but I underestimated the syns by more than half!!
I made the mistake of thing any low cal meal would be syn free but looked up the one I had yesterday and it is six syns. Must look up syns, must look up syns mutter!!!!"This site is addictive!"

:T on your 1lb loss lois and have a good time at your festive meal. The problem in Europe (don't know about rest of world!) but swede is considered to be "Animal Feed"! We introduced our German friends to swede as a vegetable to have with dinner - mashed with plenty of butter & black pepper (pre SW days, LOL!) and they absolutely loved it and ended up taking several swede back with them to mash & freeze for have with their dinners. They hoped it would be a vegetable they'd be able to get their children to eat (they only had one baby at the time who was still not eating solids so didn't have any).
It was one of the requests whenever we visited to them to take more swede with us! The other foods they wanted was a couple of trays of baked beans and HP sauce (both of which are available now).
That's just what I've found too. My French niece found it very odd that we'd eat parsnips and swedes as they just feed them to cows and horses.
I remember taking a tray of Heinz tomato soup across for my nephew and a tray of Postman Pat pasta shapes for their little boy!
Horrible weather here too lantanna.:(
I'm just about to put SC on with lentil and veg soup. I'll use carrots, onions and leeks so great for SP lunches.
Today's EESP plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham with fried LO veg (no potatoes) and pickles
D:cottage pie with swede & carrot mash, cabbage, peas
Syns: maybe chocolate later tonight0 -
Just having a quick look in while my onions & peppers are softening for HM chicken curry. Not enough meat left on the chicken after having visitors yesterday to do anything else as can get away with a smaller amount of meat in a curry.
There are a few of those Holly Daze type stories on SW! Our consultant done Mrs Ivebeensogood!
I totted up the syns as she read them out but had to guess at some of the syns because it's things I never have like latte - I only drink black coffee and then only at home using a bean to cup machine. Muffins - I don't eat cakes.
At the end of it I'd estimated 130+ syns and it was over 150 syns, so even after doing SW and having heard the story a few times before I still didn't get it right! Although in my defence quite a few syns have changed over the years and unless you eat those particular things you're unlikely to know or remember how many they are - the best you can do is estimate.
Elona - I think most ready meals will have some syns in them unless they are the SW ones (none of which I actually like!); so definitely best to check before eating them!

Hello all, hope everyone is ok! I've felt rough with a cold for most of the week and my menu/food planning went out the window a bit... Missed my SW Xmas party at a local beefeater
only upside of that is saved a load of syns! I've not really had an eating routine and my best friend was a tub of Cadbury's Heroes but the less said about that the better!
Does anyone have any free snack ideas? I'm snacking on seafood sticks at the mo, I can't eat much fruit (sets off my IBS)
Menu today:
B: tin of mackerel (1) and half tin of mushy peas
L: before work: omelette with onion/bacon/mushroom maybe?at work: chicken/carrot and swede mash (aunt Bessie one)/sprouts
HeA: 1x 35g Philly light pot and milk in tea
HeB: 3 sesame ryvita
S: mullerlight, hifi light x2 (6)

Thanks for asking B17c! It's mostly gone, but the tail end is hanging in there just enough to make me grumpy.
Wish I could help you on the snacks, but I try to limit snacks so it doesn't set off grazing. I'll usually just have an apple and my HEA cheese if I want something. I did used to snack more at work, I'd buy those little teriyaki chicken bites from M&S. Maybe something along those lines? Fridge Raiders, even plain packs of cooked meats?
Hope you feel better too!0 -

Hello all,
Congratulations SOTWs!
Sorry I'm not managing to post/keep up with the thread. I'm a bit overwhelmed with work at the moment and very much wanting the end of term to hurry up!
Only 0.5 off for me this week Shala. It's totm so it could easily have been a gain!
Hope it's going well for everyone - keep going!0 -

Please tell me more..?
I mentioned last week that I'm not really tracking until Thurs as I'm meeting friends for lunch etc, but I haven't been too bad.
Saturday I made a big batch of SW bolognese with plenty of speed in it and froze a few portions.
Sunday I ran a half marathon so I had porridge, then pub Sunday dinner (roasties and choc brownie) but that was it.
Today I had pasta for lunch then made a speedy cottage pie tonight with the Aunt Bessie S&C mash - I was surprised how tasty it was with just OXO cubes to made the gravy.
Tomorrow out for lunch with a SW friend so that should be quite sensible, then in the evening I think I'll make up a batch of soup.
Trying to batch cook as much as possible this week before I go back to work. Nervous about going back as I've been off now almost as long as I've worked there. I feel very despondent at the mo, though I do feel getting back into a normal routine will help.
Hope everyone else is well. What a fab number of SOTWs - congrats all! xx
