Miserable day again outside. We need a new kettle (the lid keeps popping off ours and scalding DH ) so was going to walk into town to check out any offers, but don't think I'll bother in this! Will mooch around websites instead.

Technically having an EE today today although most of my meals might end up SP anyway as that's what's in the house. :p

Breakfast - Weetabix and fruit (HEB, 1/2 HEA)
Lunch - Eggs, beans and spinach
Snack - Apple and cheese (1/2 HEA)
Dinner - Steak and veg. I may have a potato with this, haven't decided if I fancy that or BNS.
Syns - Something for pudding, most likely. Although I was sorting out my SW supplies yesterday and noticed I don't have much synful things left as I haven't been replacing things as I use them up. Seem to be going off sugar already!

You're doing really well june. It helps massively if you only have SW friendly food available. I'm still looking for a curry recipe that I like so in the meantime we have the occasional synful one from Sainsbury's in the freezer as a treat:o.

I've done a load of carrot and swede mash (and you're right it's not super smooth) for tomorrow's cottage pie. There's enough for me to have some with my lunch tomorrow so I can carry on having SP meals too whenever possible. Potatoes tonight though.

I've also got a piece of gammon in the SC for later in the week but I'll make lentil soup with the stock so more SP lunches coming my way. I'm trying to have a full week of SP lunches, breakfasts will be protein and HEXs and dinners when I can (when I can get away with it with DH that is;)).

Today's EE plan (with SP features):
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: omelette (mushroom, onion, tomato) with pickled cabbage
D: roast pork, roast potatoes, red cabbage, cauli, broccoli, carrots
Syns: scrape of spread, gravy, weekend wine:D

I didn't remove all visible fat from pork so gravy will be a extra synful and it'll take massive willpower to bin the crackling:(.

Shame about the gain wiz. Better luck next week.

Good to see you posting tie. Poor mr tie and his lack of sleep. Soon be the end of term:D

    Morning all :)

Reporting in this week with a 1lb loss.

I'm out for the first festive meal of the season today so that might be back on agin with interest by tomorrow! I'll be walking there and back (1km each way) and there may be dancing so that will help lessen the damage.

You've all got me fancying swede and carrot mash now, but Spanish supermarkets don't sell swede! They have a vegetable that looks a bit like a turnip but I don't like them. They're not big on parsnips or sprouts either - I bet they think we're strange for eating them. :rotfl:

Have a good day everyone, good luck to all those still to weigh in this week.

The problem in Europe (don't know about rest of world!) but swede is considered to be "Animal Feed"! We introduced our German friends to swede as a vegetable to have with dinner - mashed with plenty of butter & black pepper (pre SW days, LOL!) and they absolutely loved it and ended up taking several swede back with them to mash & freeze for have with their dinners. They hoped it would be a vegetable they'd be able to get their children to eat (they only had one baby at the time who was still not eating solids so didn't have any).

It was one of the requests whenever we visited to them to take more swede with us! The other foods they wanted was a couple of trays of baked beans and HP sauce (both of which are available now).

Back later with my menu plan for today.

It was a very synful weekend again although I did manage to avoid the mince pies - so that's a big plus! However we decided to eat out on Saturday for lunch and couldn't find a proper restaurant in the town we were in - not even a pub which did meals only bar snacks and we wanted to have something substantial as were only going to be having burger in bun with HEB roll, onions & salad.

The only place we could find was an Indian restaurant so ended up with that so was quite high syns but chose sensibly - had chilli paneer to start and had chicken from the tandoor oven; plain boiled rice. Most of the syns came from the chutneys etc which came with the poppadom! DH had a mixed grill & a chicken curry. We shared the rice.

We had quite a lot leftover so asked them to put into take away containers - Sunday lunch sorted (and already synned on Saturday!).

Had a roast chicken dinner with roast potatoes, roast carrots, peppers & onions, mashed swede, mashed celeriac & peas.

Didn't have a HEB yesterday - it's a long time since I haven't had one so not concerned about that.

Have added up the syns up to yesterday and stands at 84 so have 21 syns left for Mon-Wed - so 7 a day. Not as bad as I'd expected.

Today will be EE with breakfast & lunch being SP:

    B - bacon, onion & mushroom omlette
L - ham, lettuce, spring onions, beetroot, cornichon, tomatoes, cucumber, syn free onion chutney, pickled onions
D - 2 burgers in WM rolls, lettuce, tomato, onion chutney - HEB + 7 (6 for roll; 1 for burgers). May also make some SW chips.

    HEA - 1% milk
    HEB - WM roll
    Syns - WM roll 6; 2 burgers @ 0.5 = 1

  • I fell off the wagon a bit last week after my WI - self sabotage as its worst  It took me 3 days to get fully back on track, I know what caused me to binge though and I'm hoping so much that it's out of my system now. Aiming for a STS at best this week I think but we'll see!

    Today's food:

B - cherry bakewell rice pudding with banana and apple
L - beans on toast, (plus baby corn and satsumas mid afternoon)
T - chicken in black bean sauce, egg fried rice with peas and some speedy veg if I can squeeze it on the plate without it looking daft :D

Syns today: black bean sauce (4 I think I'll have to check later), NAS jelly (0.5) - keeping the syns low for next 2 days if I can

HEXA - milk (back on the semi skimmed as we ran out of 1% boo)
    HEXB - toast

    Have a good day everyone
    :)

Having a bit of a mental wobble today. Probably a good thing everything in the house is SW friendly!

    Today's plan...
Breakfast - Arla Protein (1 syn) and speedy fruit
Lunch - Ham, cheese and tomato toasted ciabatta (HEA+HEB) plus a bowl of speed soup if still hungry
    Dinner - Chicken and ratatouille

I don't plan the rest of my syns, just in case anyone was concerned about the lack of them. But I do use them! :)
