Scarlet, I would say its down to the call of the consultant really. I would message them or speak to them in person and see what they can do for you.

Thanks Shala! I do love carbs, but I can make some changes like sweet potatoes instead of ordinary potatoes, and wholegrain basmati or brown instead of ordinary rice. I'll try to catch that programme, it sounds very interesting.

She has actually joined WW now which is interesting.

Funnily enough I met an old friend from SW last week and she's joined WW. I don't think it's any better just more the idea of starting afresh. If you don't follow the plan it's not going to work and that applies to any plan whether SW, WW or anything else.
. Was out for tea (!) with another friend last night and she said, "Oh give yourself a break until the new year" but I know I can easily put back on this stone I've worked hard to lose. So I'm going to say I'll start again from Monday,

Sorry for the long, self-centred ramble. Hope everyone else is doing well, hugs all round x

Like shala said, it's not self centred at all tete. It helps to share experiences on here whether good or bad.

I agree with you that waiting until after Christmas isn't a good idea. The more on plan meals you can have the better and the less likely you are to wipe out all your good work. I think you're coping very well considering what you're going through. It's great that you have friends for support but that's one bit of advice I would ignore.

jps, IIRC wiz has diabetes and she's done really well (almost at target) on SW. Hopefully she'll pick up on this and be able to offer advice. I found this too:

I'm out for a pub meal tonight so probably completely off plan. Breakfast (HEX porage) and lunch (ham, pickles and bubble & squeak) have been on plan though. I'm going to do my meal plan soon and I should be able to stick to it 100% until next Friday's Christmas do.

Think she is just saturated with SW now Maman and just needs something new. She said she was fed up of her life being about weightloss etc. She has been in loads of papers etc. You always wonder what happens to people after they lose the weight........ I can understand that she maybe wants to restart where no one knows here and she is just somebody with a some weight to lose.

I think the SW Mag is good in that it often has target members that have been at target for years. I was sad to hear about most of the Biggest Loser Contestants etc seeing what has happened to them after - mostly regaining!

I know all the emotions and experiences I had through losing 6.7 stone. All the things that happened good and bad. Mildredd would probably say the same, its can be quite a strange isolating experience. We are lucky we have our forum and friends on here to share our thoughts and feelings with. :D

Losing a large amount is a massive change and affects a lot of your life.

I stagger to think how losing 14 stone would affect you, totally mind blowing!

Anyway I for one will not be regaining anything more :D Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

I'm off to watch Fifty Shades of Grey and have some gin syns :D

Hugs to all those who are poorly or otherwise struggling. Hang in there!

Menu today... a bit odd as it always is on a Friday, trying to use up what's in the house before shopping but still stay on plan as it's weigh in tomorrow.

Breakfast - Porridge with summer fruits, green tea (HEB, no milk)
Lunch - Cauli pizza with chicken and spinach (HEA)
Snack - Strawberries (going a bit soft, but edible) and last of the quark
Dinner - Rest of the chicken and salad
    Pudding - HiFi

I will definitely go to weigh in but may not stay to group tomorrow. The cold is much better today, but still quite tired. Our usual consultant is off, I don't know the sub at all and my best friend there can't make it. We shall see. I may decide based on the raffle contents. :rotfl:

maman - Get some butternut squash in as well as the carrots, I find it perfect for replacing potatoes. Ended up having sausages and BNS chips last night, and it was exactly what my poorly self needed at the time yet still SP friendly!

The lemony fish sensations are Free so no syns there. You're right about needing to syn the pitta breads. I don't think any of them are HEB now.

    Denise

The Weight Watchers Love Fibre white & wholemeal pittas are still a HEB, as are the BFree gluten free ones.

It seems regaining is almost inevitable - I follow Charlie Walduck's story and on his website he says he's recently been regaining. That's after one of the most amazing long-term success stories in weight loss that there is - I know some people don't regain but I have always fallen into cyclical regaining all my adult life and that seems to be the norm.

Grim, but true! In other news, I've managed to stay in control today, although the portion size for dinner was too big. I'll have to work on that slowly.

I've got the treadmill ready for action and will do a few minutes tonight, and starting tomorrow I'll use it every day. I've also got wii fit and I really like the step programme on there so will aim to do that as well.

I really struggle with other kinds of exercise, the yoga positions are impossible for me. I must be very inflexible!

    :hello: Everyone,

I used to do WW and reached target of 11 stone, felt wonderful [but/U] and its a big but I put on all my weight again so didnt last long,SW For me has been great, made some new friends at group and I see them sometimes in town to say hi to which is lovely and my weight since joining SW has gone down and I have never had a gain at all since I started in September,I get lovely comments from people who knew the weight I was before and said I looked really different and the weight has gone off my face,my parents have noticed this and like the new me and I am so proud of myself and what I have managed to achieve with the right advice and help.
At an event tomorrow and may just have one mincepie and mulled wine as a treat we will see, but want to try and stick to plan if I can especially before christmas so that I can enjoy myself without feeling too guilty as I dont want all my hard work to go to pot and to be for nothing.

I'm a big (no pun intended!) fan - I love it that you can do five-ten minute sessions, which is just right for me at my level of fitness.
