Well I did better than expected - lost 0.5lb!
Was good with the tasters and stuck to the Free stuff, apart from a very small piece of WM thin with mincemeat inside (a bit like a mince pie!) but it was such a small piece I doubt it was more than 1 syn.

Good Afternoon
STS please this week
Well done to all the losers and welcome newbies0 -
Bit of a stumble today, grabbed the wrong sushi pack in a very crowded M&S - it had avocado rolls in it, so 5.5 syns! But my syns all week have only been around 5 daily, so I'm not that worried about it.
EE day...
Breakfast - Spinach and tomato omelette
Lunch - Sushi and mini macarons (13 total, but it was a treat!)
Dinner - Fake steak bake (HEB), SW wedges and veggies
Need to use my HEA, quite fancy some apple and cheese so will have that shortly.Looking for some advice.
I'm not working Friday, so thinking about meal planning so I can shop while the stores are quieter.
Autumn is solidly here, and I've been craving bacon hotpot.
Trouble is, to stick to my nan's recipe, it only includes sliced white potatoes, (lean) bacon, and sliced onion (plus stock).
I don't want to have it with a side. It's filling, so I won't want pudding.
WWYD to get your 1/3?
It's wi tomorrow, so part of me thinks I should just enjoy it.
Onion is speed/superfree, so depending on the quantities this might already be SW friendly. Otherwise just up your speed earlier in the day, as someone else suggested.0 -
Hey guys, just in from my first weigh in, 4lbs lost!!! :Tmusogirl295 wrote: »Hi Lily E - I too find it's all about the planning. The minute I stop writing things down and planning my weeks meals in advance it all goes downhill. I've just ordered myself a nice meal and shopping list planner to encourage myself to keep it up.
I've got my first Muscle Foods order arriving shortly. Has anybody else used them? I just ordered one of their special price lean meat bundles to try. I'm spending so much money on chicken since I restarted that I figured they were worth a try!
Totally agree. Planning and Speed food are the essentials for successful weightloss (and keeping within syns of course;)).
lush buys Musclefoods meat regularly. Her BF is a professional athlete so, as well as being good quality protein I think she finds it cost effective too.I fancy maybe a chick pea, spinach and sweet potato curry. We use our own spices and coconut milk in it and seeing as I haven't had my full portion of milk today this should be fine. Brown rice obviously.
I am so hungry right now! I don't normally get hungry this early but for some reason today I'm getting a headache from lack of food!
It seems that the only two listed coconut milks are Tescos and M&S chilled dairy free. For some reason you can have 450mls of M&S but 475mls of Tescos for a HEA or 6 syns for those quantities should you need to. Canned varieties are much higher syns and not a HEX.
Whatever you do, there's no need to get hungry. When you're doing a meal plan/shopping list build in some things for snacking just in case.
Oooh, duck confit denise. We love the stuff:drool:. We had a tin a couple of weeks ago and made it even worse with dauphinoise potatoes. We've got two cans left of La Belle Chaurienne which is our favourite. What brand do you like? Actually we eat half a can at a time because it freezes well. I warm it in the oven over a rack and always remove skin to cut back on syns a bit. Next time I plan to put it on the menu is New Year's Eve unless we go out somewhere!
Enjoy your fireworks on the beach lois and well done on getting back on plan so quickly. I'm full of admiration for the alcohol free plan too.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO chicken free casserole with sugar snaps, asparagus and mushrooms to pad it out.Austrian Hash (mushrooms, onions, celery, carrots) with side of cabbage
Syns: scrape of spread, chorizo (1.5 syns each) as it gives the hash a good flavour and colour. May add some grated cheese on top but as I've had no cereal that should be within HEA.0 -

Maman - I buy the one from Lidl usually - succes gourmand (not sure if that's the right spelling!).
Haven't done it in the oven, usually do it in a pan as it only takes 5 minutes or so. As I'm not usually the oven for anything else it's a lot of power for just the duck.

Sadly, I have the oven on for the dauphinoise. We were given it like that by some French relations and it's become a (bad) habit.
Thanks for the Lidl recommendations, shame they don' sell it over here, ideally on a weekend special!0 -
