For Maman and anyone else who would like the curry paste recipe I use - here's the link:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/how_to_make_curry_paste_37065

Obviously you need to use Frylight and not oil but otherwise as per recipe.

It makes 8 portions of paste. I portion it up by putting into an ice cube tray - makes 8. Use one cube per portion of curry.

The last lot I made I made 9 cubes and have been using 3 per curry but found it's not really quite enough (even though I'm only making 3-4 portions - 2 main meal & 1 lunch portion). If it's not hot or spicy enough for you when using you can always add a bit more spice. Last night I added a shake of chilli flakes and some garam masala to "warm" it up a bit and was very nice.

Will be back later after WI and with my menu plan.

I put on half a pound on this week.

This is weird as my friends when they have tonsillitis they lose at least 5lb.

I didn't eat anything for 7 meals (a third of the week)- last meal Sat lunch, meal after that Tues breakfast.

Then ate hm soup, syn free Batchelors Pasta n Sauce, scrambled egg, tinned spaghetti hoops, satsumas, raspberries, syn free yoghurt, Weetabix made really smooth (HEA and HEB) and ready made sf jelly. All foods that require little chewing and very soft.

    I'm on 2g of penicillin a day - 2x250mg 4 times a day. Halfway through the course.

Still feeling very rough and got a irritating throaty cough to top it all off.

So my body has been in starvation mode, got penicillin which I read somewhere on the internet is the one of the worst antibiotics for weight gain as destroys good bacteria in the gut and reduces the effects of mitochondria’, which is the main thing that converts food to energy.

Does anyone have any tips to make me lose? I don't want to gain anymore.

So some of you may remember when I went off to the SW Woman of the Year District Finals last year............. Just found out through Social Media that the lady that did win that day has regained 6 stone and is in the size 20s again. So sad. She made it all the way to the Finals at SW and got lots of press coverage. I can only imagine how she feels........

However now I'm like hmmmmmmmmm maybe I am actually not doing too bad at this. Yes I messed about getting too slim for me and trying to get to an unrealistic target for me a long time and then regained some but things happen. I've had a very strange year. :rotfl:

But hey I'll be going out this year for xmas just under a stone heavier than the weight I was last xmas. And a size 13 instead of a 12 :rotfl: I now think this is an achievement that I've done so well in not piling it all back on. Think its time to stop being so hard on myself and look at the positives!

Sometimes you discover things for a reason and maybe I found this news out today just for that.

I am def def not gloating at the misfortunates of others, I know exactly what it is like to be big and how hard it is overall all aspects of it. Just feel like maybe I have been a bit hard on myself and I should be more pleased than sad really.

Good to hear you saying that Lantanna - I think a lot of us on here thought you were being a bit hard on yourself but it's something you need to find out for yourself IYKWIM. Well done.

Happy to say that I lost a lb this morning and am now back to where I was a few weeks ago when I had had horrendous gain for no apparent reason! Was hoping to get to bottom end of target before I go on holiday in a couple of weeks but don't think that's likely to happen now as I have a couple of very synful weekends coming up! A Christmas do with the motorhome group I go away with this weekend and a wedding next weekend.

May try to fit in a few SP meals over the next couple of weeks and hope that helps - unlikely to be able to do SP days as DH gets the hump if I eat something different to him!

I am glad you are not being so hard on yourself and well done on not piling on loads.

I went to WI last night dreading it as I had just had a late lunch on a shopping trip and a glass of wine. DD was dreading it as she had been abroad and had business meals that did not allow choices and when she tried to decline pudding they looked at her as if she had committed a crime.

DD maintained and I lost two pounds :j:j
