Hope that abscess gets better soon LL. My DH often suffers from them so I know how painful they can be. I'm sure the antiBs will kick in quite quickly.

Have changed what I'd planned for lunch today as there were enough LOs for both DH and I, for a change!

B - scrambled eggs on toast (HEB)
L - LO beef stew - mainly veg but some beef left
D - chicken curry/rice made with HM curry paste*

HEA - 300ml 1% milk - am going to stick with this as the extra 50ml makes such a big difference
    HEB - 60g WM bread

Syns - to be decided later - I've got 8.5 syns left for today so that'll be plenty

*I make my own Free curry paste and freeze in an icecube tray makes it so much quicker when making curry to not have to make up an individual batch and not particularly keen on the ready made pastes I've tried. Only have one more batch of "cubes" left so will probably use that in the next couple of weeks before we go on holiday and then have to make some more when I get back in the new year!

Well my leg is better today but now that cold that's been threatening for about a week has finally taken hold. Was planning on going out today but now tucked under a blanket feeling sorry for myself. I get one every time the seasons change so I'm not surprised, but annoyed all the same!

    Menu today...
Breakfast - Eggs, beans, spinach and tomato
Lunch - SP friendly soup and a bread roll (HEB1)
Dinner - Pork, BNS and broccoli

HEA - Split between milk (for coffee) and cheese (snack)
    HEB2 - Alpen/hifi light bars
Syns - Probably a proper hot chocolate, rather than light!

Abbafan1972 - I sometimes have Ryvita with my soup, they're only 1.5 syns each if not a HEB and I find two plenty.

CP - Don't beat yourself up about the binge, as it may trigger another. Just try to stay on track as best you can. One day, or even one meal, at a time. Hugs!

Well done Candyapple, that sounds like a real treat too the YC Advent!

We all do it Counting Pennies so don't beat yourself up there is still 5 days left in this week to be good. Just keep going.
  • +1/2LB for me this week.
I seem to be getting nowhere at the moment. Truth is with not that much to lose and nice clothes fitting well, I somehow don't have the motivation to stick at it. I have been maintaining for weeks on end now. I had a chat with my consultant and have decided that I'm going to try and maintain until Christmas, have a good go during January and then call target even if I'm not where I originally want to be.
So Shala, at risk of being a right pain, please can I have the chart altered for an overall maintain by Christmas and I'll try and get rid of my pesky poundage once the new challenge starts in 2016. Thanks in advance xxx
  • Thanks guys.... Need to sort myself out. Such an emotional eater its unreal. This morning I ate 2 selection boxes :(

Yes and you could have never mentioned it, so well done for being so honest and admitting to it. The good think is that you obviously do wish that you hadn't and you are trying to address why you did. We all do have slips of different scales and sizes for different reasons. Mine normally involve cheese, chocolate or wine :o

You may feel rubbish right now and I know how rubbish that can feel, but see it as a good thing that you've binged and stopped and want to move on from it. You could have kept going for hours or days. You've not you've stopped.

I would personally say accept you have done it and remind yourself that you didn't enjoy it (if you didn't). Try to remember how you are feeling now and remind yourself of that the next time you feel like binging. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Big Hugs

Wise words lantanna. We've all been there. Hope you get back on track very soon CP.

    :T on your loss candy.

midge, I think sometimes you know when you're at target. I think it's a good plan to decide in the new year. It could be that after Christmas your nice clothes may be a bit tighter;).

I'd love the recipe for the curry paste denise. It would be really useful for when I've got LO chicken.

Clean jeans day today and I'm feeling really fat which is ridiculous as I haven't had an off plan meal all week! It's also a bad time as I'm eating out Thursday and Friday. My plan is that when I do my meal plan to get a few SP meals in there and see if that'll help. A week Friday I've got a Christmas to and I don't want to be squeezing into an outfit!!

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese and beetroot
D: sausage (2), mash, cauli, cabbage, carrots, peas
Syns: gravy and scrape of spread

Maybe the 70% choc in the evening needs to stop:(.

Maman - seem weird that you're feeling "fat" when you've been on plan all week. I doubt it's the choc - you don't seem to be having too many syns (unless it's the wine at weekends - like me, LOL!)

I haven't got the curry paste recipe on this PC so will sort out my paper copy and post. Not sure when I'll be able to do it as tomorrow is a busy day but if I have time in the morning between taking DH to work and going to group I'll do it then, otherwise Friday.

Awwww CP hugs lovely, so you ate two selection boxes, at most only a weeks syns but I think a lot less. When life is a bit harsh its what most of us do, we eat to comfort but we can recognise this for what it is, as you have, and take control back.
