B17c I've just seen your news - so sorry to hear it. Your gran has made a very brave decision. There seems to be a lot of pressure to fight-fight-fight, but it's often not worth the reduced quality of life. Lots of love to you all xx

This is so so true, my own dear Mum took this view when she was told she had ovarian cancer at 87yrs old. so we had a virtually pain free 2 years and she died peacefully in her sleep from heart failure.

I'm confused, I watched a programme about a Doctor going to live with a family the other night but i'm sure it was on Channel 4 - did I visit the future or are the tv channels just copying each other?

Just watching that Paul O'Grady dog programme, ohhh it's make my eyes water...

No idea about the wobbly floor B17c but it's good to blame something!!:rotfl:

If you go to My Weightloss Tools and then scroll down to Classic Food Diary, choose Green and then Healthy Extras that'll tell you all the HEB choices you can have on Green. HEAs are milk and cheese as usual I think.

It's not there for me  I wonder if they hide it from newer members maybe. I've had abit of a dig round though and managed to find something in useful features that lists them :) Will have to bear in mind when planning days in the future :)

    Today's menu:
    B: bran flakes (heB), clementine
L: asda G&B snack pot (1.5), apple, clementine, plum
D: HM Veg Chilli and Rice
S: alpen light (3), milk in drinks (heA)

    Hi all :)

Just watched the Doctor in the House - there were some interesting suggestions and the doc's advice certainly helped the family to improve their health and lose weight.

I quite liked the idea of an eating window, basically restricting the hours in a day when you can eat to 10, which would stop any snacking in the evening. It would have to be a flexible window though, otherwise you wouldn't be able to go out to a function where the meal could go on until later.

Anyone else watch it? What did you think?

  • Well done on the job Jill!

I didn't watch the doctor prog but I saw some clips on breakfast TV. I must admit I hate the current demonisation of sugar in the media. I love my sugar!! :o:o

You're allowed 100g of chicken breast as a HEB on Green or you can syn it and have something else for your extra HEB (you can have an extra HEB and extra HEA on Green). A chicken breast is 7.5 syns on Green or about 9 syns for 100g to help you work out how much you've had.

Thanks for that. Never ended up having the chicken. Breakfast and lunch were as planned. Tea went out the window as I got a call from school after lunch to say my daughter had suffered a head injury. By the time I got her sorted, I got into work an hour late at 5pm so no time to eat. Just got in a had a thin (HEB) a tin of spaghetti hoops (free) and a hi-fi bar (2nd HEB). Only syns I've had today are a mouthful of smarties during my shift as I felt a little faint rushing about.

I didn't know that was there! So just filled it in! Deffo a green day. Haven't had a HEA. Something I struggle with.

With regards to the pepsi max lovers (other brands are available :rotfl:) I have around 2 glasses a day. And thats it. Sometime I have 1 glass. But that is all I drink ALL day. I know its bad for me, but I just don't drink much. I really need to drink more, especially as I've had 5 bladder surgeries. I know it will help me. I'm now worried if I drink more I'll be heavier :rotfl:

Hopefully plan tomorrow will be something like this.

    Breakfast: Fruit

Lunch: Cheese (HEA) omelette, sw chips, beetroot and pickles

Tea/Supper: (Working late) Wholemeal thin pizza (HEB and HEA)

Snacks/Syns: Fruit and hi-fi bar (HEB)

If I have done that right then it is a green day, using 2 HEA and HEB. When I looked at the green day hi-fi bar I think it states the chocolate orange hi-fi is only 1 bar for HEB? Is that correct? Maybe I'm not looking properly. I'm tired and its late.

Also Maman do you happen to know if tinned salmon is free on GREEN? I've looked but can't see it. Thinking about looking on fleabay to see if I can find the old plan somewhere. I work better with paper copies :rotfl:

Right off to bed. Really surprised I've not gone off plan for 3 days now! Apart from 2 slices of pizza yesteday. However I'd had no syns so I just used them!

Syn bank currently stands at 50 left till Sunday night (Get weighed Monday night but start syn bank again Monday). This might be the first week ever I stay within my allowance :rotfl:
