Me too!:o I hate water and not keen on squash. I've not drank a lot over the last few days and woke up with headaches and weight gain, so personally, I think it does affect it..musogirl295 wrote: »Going to try Shala's chipotle chicken today, but going to sub the ketchup for tomato puree to reduce the syns a bit more.
clever clogs, I never thought of doing that!:rotfl: definitely let us know how it goes and I will change the recipe (I know I haven't linked on the front page yet - sorry, will try and do it later)
I've been forced to eat revels this morning, so it's not going well here.. hope you're all a bit more focussed xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
B17c I've just seen your news - so sorry to hear it. Your gran has made a very brave decision. There seems to be a lot of pressure to fight-fight-fight, but it's often not worth the reduced quality of life. Lots of love to you all xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Tete - I'm so very sorry to hear of your news...
i'll add you to the challenge later, it's sometimes good to have something to focus on but don't put too much pressure on yourself xx
B17c - sorry to hear your news too, hope you can spend some quality time with your gran (and mom) xx
Sorry to hear the news as well and sending hugs to both of you!0 -

I quit my Fizzy Drinks addiction months ago and have maybe one tin a week now, sometimes none. Its wasn't good for the gallbladder. I don't even NAS with my Gin or vodka instead of a fizzy mixer. If I do have Diet Coke or something I feel even worse the next day. Gin with Robinsons Lemon & Mango NAS is my current fave. But then I am strange lol :rotfl: I make it in a big pint glass and then it lasts longer as well. Not very adult but I don't care.
I feel far better without fizzy. Its not easy and I do feel the pull towards them sometimes but try and resist. Its def a habit. Try and limit the number you drink and work on reducing it. Its too much to just go cold turkey on them.
Day 3 on plan here. Someone say yesterday about just taking one day at a time and that's exactly what I am going to do. I know something will click again and I'll get fully back into it and losing again.
Got to do a Lidl run tonight as need some 70 % dark choc (2 squares of that nightly) keeps me away from the poor mans choc :rotfl: As I call it. Seem to have built up quite a sugar addiction here and its only from eating so much chocolate of late. Don't really understand it as I was always a crisps girl until the year of the gallbladder ( that's what I'm calling it now):rotfl: Seems its goodbye Chinese and crisps and hello chocolate.
Need to pick up a moisturiser from Lidl I want to try as well. Need to spruce myself up and start taking care of myself again and I'm sure the weightloss will come and go hand in hand with that.
Oh and Shala Forced to eat revels?????????0 -

I considered switching out the sugar for sweetener but thought it would probably lose a bit of its' stickiness. I did thin the sauce a little bit with a drop of boiling water so it covered the chicken a bit more evenly. It smells good, so will report back tonight!0 -

Have you had your gallbladder out? I had gallstone problems a couple of months after birth of 1st DD 5.5 years ago. Had regular pain attacks for about 4 months and was on waiting list for surgery. By the time surgery was getting close I realised I had been pain free for several months so cancelled the op as was a really awkward time for me to have surgery. I've had a few very minor attacks during the last 5 years and I was warned that another pregnancy could anger it but thankfully that was fine. I'm now 3 months post DD2's birth and starting to get nervous as this was the point at which it started last time!0 -
Oh and Shala Forced to eat revels?????????
I know!! the people at work are mean...;):p
I wish I could give up fizzy drinks..you're so good to be able to do it :T I've tried so many times and failed!
Down to 1 can a day and 2 glasses at night at the moment.. far too much stillMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Good to have you back tete, and so sorry to hear your news. You're in the right place here though, loads of support. I think it's one of the friendliest boards on mse:A.
That's is a bit perplexing about the tiny gain B17c. Just keep going but we'll take a good look at your menus to be sure. Hopefully you'll get a good loss next week to make up.CountingPennies wrote: »EDIT to ask.... Is my plan an EE day or a green day because of lack of meat (apart from tiny bit of chicken, lol). Really need to get my head around it!
You're allowed 100g of chicken breast as a HEB on Green or you can syn it and have something else for your extra HEB (you can have an extra HEB and extra HEA on Green). A chicken breast is 7.5 syns on Green or about 9 syns for 100g to help you work out how much you've had.Morning everyone! Today's plan is still technically SP but I'm not feeling that great (DH brought the dreaded commuter's cold home) so if it's not exactly 50/50, I'm not too worried.
I like to think of EE and EESP as a sort of graph/continuum with full EE one end and full EESP at the other. The closer you get to 50:50 EESP the better the weightloss but having the odd bit of free food like a banana or a yogurt is still better than having all the carbs of full EE IYSWIM. Personally I wouldn't have the extra HEB is I wasn't doing EESP 100% either. I'd just be pleased I was having a low carb day.Need to spruce myself up and start taking care of myself again and I'm sure the weightloss will come and go hand in hand with that.
That's a great way of looking at it. It's all about loving yourself.:)
Hope you get good news at WI denise. I've got a busy day tomorrow but plan to do my food shop on the way home so must do my meal plan and shopping list today.
Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, banana, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP, cottage cheese, beetrootchicken casserole (onion, leeks, mushrooms, carrot, butter beans) with roast potatoes and broccoli
Syns: scrape of spread, 1tbsp (shared) cornflour in casserole0 -

That's a good way to look at it maman. My EE days aren't even overly carby as I don't like (or more accurately, don't have a desire to eat) most of them. Just a banana and some form of potato. Or both on carb loaded days.
I think I'll skip the extra HEB today, or syn them if I really feel like a Hifi bar after dinner. But I've been really into the Rocky Road ones this week and I've eaten them all. If it wasn't tipping down, I'd consider walking to my consultant's other group today (it's on the other side of town) to restock instead of waiting for Saturday. :rotfl:0 -
Thanks very much everyone for your well wishes
sorry to hear about your dad Tete, love and hugs to you :grouphug:
Unfortunately my mum and grandparents are up in Scotland and I'm in London so don't get to see them very often, I'm going to see if I can get a long weekend off from work and try to get up there soon, not banking on it though as things are cray busy for Christmas now and I work nights, I'll see what I can do!
I'm disappointed I put on a half, I'd pledged another 4lb loss and I'm not sure where I've gone wrong! I gave in my food diary though so maybe my consultant will see something!
Plan today:
B: HeB sandwich with HeA Philadelphia light, lean ham, lots of lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, tsp light mayo
L/D: I may not have lunch, I should get some sleep as I'm working tonight but at some point today I'll have gammon slices (I've just cooked a joint), scrambled eggs, tomato and mushrooms.
To eat at work I'll take gammon slices and mixed veg (broccoli/baby corn/carrot/sugar snap peas), a hifi light bar and a satsuma probably.
Syns: 1 hifi light (3), 1 tsp light mayo (1) not sure what else! XCredit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526
