Running way behind this morning as overslept. Have only been out of the shower about half hour and haven't even had breakfast yet. Will get that as soon as I finish typing up my menu plan!

    Another EE day today:

B - porridge made with water, a little milk, mixed frozen fruit
L - LO quiche, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, spring onions, cornichons, beetroot, pickled onions. Quiche has peppers, shallots, mushrooms in so loads of Speed today.
D - chicken breast stuffed with Quark flavoured with garlic & mixed herbs, wrapped in bacon. Roast potatoes, roast carrots & onions, green veg of some sort but not sure which (need to see what's in freezer and what DH fancies - knowing him it'll be brussels again)

    HEA - 300ml 1% milk
    HEB - 35g porridge

Snacks if needed - banana, satsuma, strawberries
Syns - not sure but have 8 syns left for today so may have a couple of Ryvita & butter this evening.

  • Morning everyone

Pleased to report a 4lb loss this week :j:j

There's really not enough emojis in the world to show how happy I am so this one will have to do :D Well done everyone else with losses this week, big hugs for STS and gainers

That's now 3 stone gone forever which I can't quite believe, I'm the lightest now that I've been for about 10 years. Still plenty of work to do though, I don't want to lose much more if I'm honest but I need to tone up I'm still more wobbly than I would like :rotfl:

    Food today:

B - porridge with apple and cinnamon
L - bachelors golden veg rice (1.5 syns) with salad
T - takeaway -I'm going for chicken chop suey which according to my book is 9.5 syns, with boiled rice instead of fried

I have a dentist appointment this afternoon - what a way to spend my day off! I'm hoping it's no more than a check up

Hope everyone has a good day
  • Morning all, well done losers and sts-rs!

Yesterday was even more stressful than I thought at work. My colleagues and I felt like we were cracking up by the end of it. I came in wanting to binge - I had all sorts of cravings. You name it, I wanted it. I did end up eating chocolate and having a sugary (decaf) coffee and then I had that "I've blown it all to hell!" mentality but when I sat down and figured out how many Syns I'd had, I only went over by three.

    I can reign that in!

Counselling tonight so potentially more stress. Luckily, I'm out in the evening after my session so that takes away some temptation. I'm making sure all my meals are Syn free and contain lots of Sp so I have the full 15 syns to use as I need (I'll deduct yesterday's three from other days).

    Today's Plan;

    Breakfast

HeA Milk HeB 30g GF Cereal

    Lunch

Slimming Eats Sweet Potato, Carrot and Red Pepper Soup. Fruit.

    Dinner

Left Over Chicken and Vegetable Fried Rice and Stirfry Veg.
  • Morning everyone. Well done to shala, dillon, candyapple and any other losers I've missed!

Has anybody else tried the vegetable spaghettis that Tesco do in the fresh veg section? I tried the butternut squash spaghetti yesterday mixed with noodles. Was a good way of bulking out the noodles without adding extra carbs. Could be useful if you are doing SP days.

    Menu today:

    B - Toast (HEB + 2 syns), Jam (1)
    L - Chicken veg noodles
    S - Kitkat (5.5), clementines, bananas, activia
D - Vietnamese chicken, wild rice (0.5), ff greek yoghurt, blueberries

Don't know what to spend my other 6 syns on? Any suggestions? I normally save them for popcorn in the evenings or pots of jelly but I've run out of both and the shopping isn't coming till tomorrow!

I like the Cauli Cous Cous and the Carrot Noodles, we don't have the BNS ones and the Courgetti is a bit too watery for me when I cook it and I have found doesn't keep

Thanks for everyone's stories, it's good to hear and be able to relate to everyone and the struggles we sometimes face. I like hearing how people feel healthier too, glad you knees are better Lois and I know Wiz is doing really well with the diabetes because of the weight loss :j

:T:T:T for the losses, you're all losing massive amounts!!

Hope counselling goes ok Miss_I.. x

I really like the carrot noodles Musogirl, but then I really like carrots :rotfl: like you I used them with spaghetti rather than instead of so I had less spaghetti. Wasn't as keen on the BNS ones as they felt a bit slimy..

Beanie, hope you're ok matey :D hope it's just the weather that's kept you snuggled up with the cat..

Everyone's upset in the office as they can't go out for their lunches due to the torrential rain we seem to be having :rotfl: I have me spaghetti hoops so I'm ok :D I've offered out some satsumas and apples but they don't seem that impressed with them... ;)

    xx

:TMore great losses. Well done all!! Loving the big grin candy!

:T fror not going mad yesterday MI, 3 syns is hardly a binge!!:rotfl:

Sorry your squid didn't work out denise. The Nigella recipe was a bit like a risotto. I like savoury rice but I like it dry so it wouldn't suit me, too sloppy.

Thanks for your sharing post lois. I'm sure it's really helpful and inspiring too. It's only since joining SW that I've realised how weightloss/gain is so tied up with emotions for many people. I was just a bog standard fatty who had a lifestyle of drinking too much and stopping at petrol stations for pork pies, crisps and pasties so I'd assumed everyone was the same:o.

Oh, doh :) Speed, not Superfree.

Thanks Lois! Mystery solved. I couldn't understand it, because on the plans buried on the online site for Green and Original pineapple still has the S next to it. But those plans still refer to Superfree (they're dated April 2015). So the third "speed" is an EE thing.

Typing this up, it occurs to me that I've had no meat yesterday or today, and have none planned in for the rest of the week. Sorry if this is a daft question, but does that mean I'm doing green days? And if so what does that mean? Extra Easy is all I know!!

I don't think SW have bothered to update the Green plan with the new information lily so it's just a PDF copy of what was in the old books. You're right in that the third Speed is an EE thing but what constitutes Speed (previously SF) would be the same on all plans. They haven't helped by calling selected fruit and veg (previously Superfree) by the name Speed which used to include some fish and various other things IIRC and was recommended for speeding things up rather than essential to the plans. It seems complicated.

It's disappointing that SW don't push Green particularly any more as it's far better for vegetarians. Nowadays it's on the site but disappeared from the books.

rebster, yes, you are doing Green days. There are two bonuses in that you can have an extra HEA and HEB each day if you want and the lists of available HEBs particularly are much longer. Also you don't have to have a third Speed food if you don't want to although personally I think the more you have the better. Remind me, do you have access to the website?

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L: salmon and fried veg
D: Savoury mince, new potatoes, peas, cabbage, broccoli and carrots
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, maybe chocolate
