Thankfully, shopping is still enjoyable here even at Christmas
    LL :)

Then I wish I could do my shopping in Spain! Just having a cuppa then off to brave the supermarkets!:(

Lovely post lantanna. I'm trying hard not to get into 'treat myself' mode just yet although last night I had a bite of marzipan and a cherry liqueur:o.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L: probably JP
D: chicken stir fry (mushrooms, sugar snaps, spring onions, peppers) with rice
Syns: scrape of spread, tbsp. honey in stir fry, any Christmas goodies I can't resist ;)

Oh I'm long into the point of no return now until the 27th! Just realised its the 27 th not the 28th, I'll be back on it!

Although I have just thought about buying a new jug for the fridge to make some lemon water to have on hand. So I guess I'm subconsciously not being that bad really lol

Tills where busy and store getting busy but I had a pinger zapper so till wasn't heaving just me :j:j:j
  • -2 1/2LBs for me this week really pleased because I have tried very hard to stay on plan and resisted lots of temptations this week. It's my dad's birthday today so come 4oclock, our Christmas will be in full swing and I doubt very much that I will have a loss or even a STS next Wednesday. That said, I've done a large gammon for our birthday tea and will be having it with salad, pickles and homemade hassle back baby potatoes so a fairly on plan tea - just the booze, puds and nibbles to fight!
I wish you all a peaceful, healthy and happy Christmas and I thank you all for the advice and support you have given me this year.
Love from Helen (aka Matron Midge) xx

I wish my store had the zappers! I use them whenever I'm in a store that has them, best thing ever. Sainsbobs is SO far behind with things like that though, their tills don't even have contactless.

A cheeky peek at the scales this morning shows I might be in for a good loss at early weigh in tomorrow. Fingers crossed. So still on plan today...

Breakfast - Arla, berries, granola, coffee (HEB1, HEA, 1 syn)
Lunch - Leftover chicken and bacon salad
    Dinner - Salmon and veggies
Pudding - Other HEB and some syns

Happy Christmas to all those who won't be checking in now until after. I'll still be here though! :santa2:

Will probably do some batch cooking whilst I am off, meals for the freezer for January. Try and get ahead.

Any ideas folks of things that freeze well, individual portions - easy to reheat ?

I'm thinking Beef Stroganoff (I'll add the fromage frais) after reheating.

    Whats your favourite freezer staples?

    Hi

Lovely first post lantanna x.. freezer ideas - cottage pie, chipotle chicken, pulled pork, pasta bakes, egg fried rice, lasagne, BNS canneloni - i freeze pretty much anything!:D

Do you have a slow cooker? I been making 'dump' bags, these are just raw ingredients for a recipe chucked in a bag and frozen, then you stick them in the slow cooker (thawed, although i've done a few from frozen and they're fine, depends how you feel about cooking from frozen) and cook through-out the day and when you arrive home, tea is already done :T

Good luck everyone who's braving the supermarkets today  apparently our local one has a 2 mile tailback to get in! i had an online shop last night, the only thing they got wrong was the sprouts so i'm ok with missing them out of dinner :rotfl:

Great losses Midge, Orlao and Arkers :T:T (did i miss anyone?:o sorry if i did)

Merry Xmas to you all, hope you all enjoy the next few days and are ready to get back on it in 2016! xx
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

    Dump bags Shala :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek::eek::eek:

    Just sounds so wrong!!! lol

I like the sound of the Chipolte Chicken. Can you freeze rice ok? Do you just heat it up again in a pan?

No slow cooker here yet, may do that one day!

I am so looking forward to having some time off work and actually being well to be able to enjoy it and have time to do things like this! :D

Might go to poundland for some fakeaway cartons this afternoon whilst I'm in the mood and maybe make something this afternoon.

Oooooh I'm excited about the break!:rotfl:
