    Wiz :T:T:T congratulations!!

Candyapple, I don't eat mince pies either, so you're not the only one :D

I meant to post this the other day - for all those people who don't drink enough water, I bought one of these for my sister for Xmas and thought i'd buy myself one too - https://www.hydratem8.co.uk they're all the rage on Instagram at the minute :D and i'm always one to jump on a bandwagon!

They're not cheap but you could make one yourself with a water bottle and permanent marker.

I find it's helped me keep track of how much I haven't yet drunk (I tend to be better in the morning than the afternoon) you can even add fruit into the bottle to add flavour.. it's definitely helped me drink less diet coke, which is always going to be better for you!

I might try and make another one to keep at work to save me carting it backwards and forwards...

Warning though, I've never wee'd so much in my life :rotfl:

Hiya everyone, yippee 2 off and I'm there at last, X.

That's brilliant wiz. I'm so thrilled for you.:T:T:T

As tie said, it's really hard to get back exactly as you were before. I'm almost a stone heavier than I was at my very lowest adult weight but I know that any lighter and my neck starts to look saggy and inner arms and thighs the same. What brilliant time to get to target. You can relax and enjoy Christmas then get back to it in the New Year if that's what you want.:)

I've been really unmotivated to think of lunches. I got in to a routine of having leftovers and seem to have lost the ability to think. :o I do enjoy the salad, just think probably should have a bit more variety.

I don't plan lunches as such either and, like you, I often have leftovers. But I do enjoy them and always have plenty of pickles and cold meats in to go with my fried veg/bubble&squeak. Next favourites are soup, JPs and occasional frittata/omelette but often have eggs at breakfast time so need to balance things out.

BEG - glad you're home, hope your mom's ok, hope you're ok.. and hope your OH is ok too!! Did you manage to have a relaxing time at the hairdressers at least? Happy new hair :D

Yes it is nice to be back home. Mum's not doing too bad - she really needed to get back into her way of doing things. Wish she could get her sleep sorted out. She doesn't have much at all and more or less catnaps most of the night but then she is tired through the day. DH is fine and is more or less over the man-flu. Have to look after my chef don't I ;) :rotfl: Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed my couple of hours 'me time' at the hairdressers. Tried to read my kindle book on my phone but kept finding myself earwigging into other people's conversations :o How rude :rotfl:

Hiya everyone, yippee 2 off and I'm there at last, however, I need to get 3 below to give me some leeway. I can't understand though I still have some fat left i e. Tummy not gone thighs not much thinner. I may have to go down to eight stone four pounds that was my normal weight in the seventies when I was quite a bit younger maybe that will make all the difference. Ah! Well, I am still quite happy. Hope everyone else has done well Hugs to you all X.

    Well done wiz :T

I'm feeling rubbishy today - mother nature has seen fit to give me my 2nd star week in 3 weeks :mad: I must have cheesed her off big time :rotfl: I don't have my usual munchies or discomfort though so that's a bonus and I'm actually craving fruit instead of junk. If only that was the case every month :D

Re the festive food - I'm the only person I know who doesn't like mince pies (despite the fact that I ate one at a christmas carol concert last week yuck) but I'm more than partial to a stollen bite or 3 :p

From now until weigh day I'm making a conscious effort to increase my water intake and speed foods. I read about a 777 challenge online while looking for something else and the aim is to drink 7 glasses of water, eat 7 speed foods and no more than 7 syns. Weigh day is only 3 days away so I reckon it's do-able. I definitely don't drink enough fluids, I wake up in the morning and my mouth is as dry as the desert so I'm hoping this will help.

Another mince pie disliker here Candyapple :D. Went to carol service this afternoon and they were serving mince pies, stollen and mulled wine afterwards. Didn't take too much willpower to leave these alone as they just don't appeal to me and I was quite happy to have a coffee but I did push the boat out and have a splash of milk in it :p :rotfl:

I like the sound of the 777 challenge. I should really up the water intake too. :o

Hope you are feeling better soon and ready for all the festivities. :D

    Evening everyone.

Weighed in yesterday and lost 0.5lb. Quite good considering I had my works Christmas do last Saturday night. Had a quite a big meal and alcohol (as you do!).

There is a weigh in on Boxing day, but I'm not going (I don't think many are), I booked it as a holiday when I bought my 12 week countdown, so I didn't lose a week. I'm surprised the consultant bothered to persuade the community centre to open for her, the holiday should have been a freebie in my opinion, but it's not up to me. I bet the turnout will be poor.

Am sticking as much as possible to plan, will have a few little treats in moderation. Would normally sit and stuff myself with Quality street, Roses, mince pie and biscuits, but not doing that this year!

Will try and post again before Christmas. :xmassmile

I was looking at the bottle that shala gave a link to. If we're meant to have 2 litres a day, isn't the bottle rather enormous?

Feeling stuffed after the Chinese and I'm not even thinking about the syns. Going to flop in front of tv and will probably fall asleep;).

It's 900ml maman.. You fill it up once in the morning and once in the afternoon so not quite 2 litres a day but near enough..

another idea is buying a normal 500 ml bottle of water and giving yourself set times to drink it by, like every 4 hours. I found it definitely helps to have a goal, as I seem to forget if I'm just supposed to be having so many glasses a day.

:rotfl:@ you BEG earwigging. Hope it was interesting enough to drag you away from your book.

Abba I've seen on Instagram that quite a few new groups are starting on Boxing Day. I think they're crazy! Hard enough to get an established group to turn up. My consultant was willing to open if we wanted but everyone said not to bother.

For the water bottle, I have an empty smart water bottle that I refill. It's 850ml and I drink one by lunch, one by dinner and one by bed. Easy way to keep track and cheaper since I had the bottle from a trip.
