Reporting a 1.5lb loss please shala!Really pleased with that as went to a burger restaurant at beginning of week and then yesterday was a bit of a picky day! I also got my interim target. I only set a stone and a half to start with as a work better with small goals. Reset it down another 2 stone
Menu today:
B - nibbles at taster (saying 7 syns!)
L - Subway salad (1.5 syns)
S - 2 x hifi (heb), banana, clementine
D - Mexican lasagne (hea +2 syns)
E - popcorn (4 syns), ff greek yoghurt, lemon curd, berries
My consultant is holding an open weigh in on Xmas Eve so have less than a week to lose this time. Would like to do another 1.5lbs to get my club 10 but that might not be realistic considering I'm starting to prepare christmas nibbles now. Over the next couple of days I'm making fudge, mini mince pies and iced biscuits and that's before I even get to preparing christmas day food!0 -
Today's menu
Brunch scrambled egg and smoked salmon on wholemeal bread - HEB plus some of HEA and 1 syn for flora buttery
Dinner steak, SW chips, mushrooms and peas
Snacks banana and Mr K's mince pie ?syns
Drinks water green tea and wine syns for Strictly.0 -

They are 11.5 syns each!
Thanks June - not planning on making them a regular treat seeing how many syns they are. I'm guessing that I'll probably be showing a few gains over the next 2 weeks.
I only started in November and was hoping for 1/2 stone loss before Xmas. I've lost 11lbs so really pleased as it'll give me a bit of a cushion for the inevitable gain over Xmas.0 -

That's brilliant! :T
A quick way to judge syns for things like this is 20 calories = 1 syn. It works for anything that doesn't have any free food allowance, e.g. crisps, chocolates, cakes, etc. Where it doesn't work is for things with partial allowances, e.g. full fat yoghurts. But for most of the "naughty" things, it's pretty accurate!
Forgot to say in my earlier post that my next weigh in is on xmas eve, so only a 5 day week for me. Then not until January! So I'll have an entire week back on plan, should be enough to offset any gain from the day itself.0 -
:santa2: hello...
How's everyone? Being reading but haven't had time to post since mid-week.. Some brilliant losses still coming in, I admire any of you who can stick to plan these weeks leading up to Xmas :T :T
Maman, June - hope the stressful times have passed xx
I wasn't that impressed with the recipes in this months magazine, anything jump out at you to try lantanna? Don't really like [STRIKE]spies[/STRIKE]:rotfl: PIES or coffee desserts. I did think the story of the Man of the Year was brilliant though, he's done so well and seems like such a nice man.I for one am really looking forward to January and everything the new year brings.will be glad when its over and temptation out of the house.
Agreed, I can't wait for January too, no more temptations at every turn!!
I've had some prosecco and massive box of chocs for xmas off my bosses, i'll let the clan drink the prosecco Xmas eve and the chocs I've re-gifted. They'll just be eaten for the sake of it if we keep them here so this is the best strategy I can think off..
BEG - glad you're home, hope your mom's ok, hope you're ok.. and hope your OH is ok too!! Did you manage to have a relaxing time at the hairdressers at least? Happy new hair
Well off to start tea and then start wrapping presentsat least it'll keep my hand out the biscuit tin, I've eaten more gingerbread than I care to remember the last few days
and a box of pringles

Just read the following on FB and thought how true it is:

Hello All!
Hope its going well. Sorry I've not posted for weeks, things have been so stressful and busy at work and unfortunately ...it all went to pot SW wise
This week I gained 2.5 lbs and the week before I STS'd.
I am hoping to get back on track but with Christmas coming up, I'm not going to be able to succeed in this months challenge I fear
I'm just going to try not to gain ALL the weight I lost. Moderation all the way.
But after Christmas it is GAME ON.
Good luck everyone and if I'm not back before the big day - have a wonderful Christmas and a slinky new year0 -

Great losses. Well Done to you both!:TThey are 11.5 syns each!
 OMG!! Thank goodness mince pies only come out once a year. Love that quote lois. I'm another looking forward to the new year.:)
Good to hear you're still with us and sounding positive MI.
I had a great time last night at Abba night. Then came home and put on my Abba Gold CD and danced all over again. Definitely 'Slinky for Santa' in the jumpsuit I wore, so a NSV there.
I stopped off in Debenhams for a quick lunch again today. Different branch but can definitely recommend the tuna jacket. It's proper meaty tuna not the mush you get in some places.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: JP with tuna, spring onions and salad leavesHB steak with mushrooms and onions plus SW chips, broccoli, suragsnaps and peas.
Syns: squirt od syrup, mayo?, 1 syn for gravy, wine syns
Oh and half a Crunchie at football but the least said about that the better.:(
It's going to be a synful day tomorrow as it's DD1's birthday and her choice is to have a Chinese here as eating out at this time of the year is so hit and miss. We always push the boat out so duck to start, chips, spring rolls and prawn crackers plus our mains and rice. Will definitely stay on plan all day beforehand.0 -
