well done losers.
Anyone else struggling to refuse lovely Christmas season food, to many meals out and buffets at work!0 -
Morning
Glad you enjoyed Abba maman, would have loved to see you dancing around in your jumpsuit!! It sounds like you had a brilliant time... Enjoy DD's birthday meal, we have the same problem as it's my dad's b'day today. He hates going out as everywhere is so crowded, so it's homemade steak pie at ours, followed by apple pie and custard
Tazzy, I think we all face the same issues this time of yeardo we join in with the yummy food and not feel left out or do we stick to our guns.. It takes a lot of willpower (unfortunately not something I have
) to say no.. I saw on Instagram last night a lady who was going to her brothers for pizza, she took her own healthy pack lunch instead.. I'm afraid I'd have had to face plant the pizza :rotfl: wish I had her willpower!!
Love that quote Lois!
Merry Xmas to you too miss independent :santa2:
I weighed this morning and still hovering around the same weight, happy with that, obviously I'd have like to have lost some but that requires effort and I haven't put any effort in :rotfl:
The sister is arriving tomorrow and thats when the eating usually goes to pot. However, I have made a dump bag of chipotle chicken in the freezer so at least one of the day's the slow cooker will be shoved on to have a healthy meal!
Sorry I seem to have really nattered this morningI'll shush now and go start the cooking for tonight.. Have a good day all xx

Shouldn't that say is anyone not struggling at this time of the year?:D Anyone who says they can sail through avoiding Christmas goodies is either telling porky pies (and eating their words;)) or it's the lady who travels with her own packed lunch!:rotfl:
I've had a SW friendly breakfast: fried egg on HB toast with tomatoes. That might be it for SW food today.:(0 -
DD and SIL drove me to big shops yesterday evening. I now have lots of heavy to carry stuff like potatoes, onions, peppers, carrots and parsnips as well as diet coke, a huge turkey crown and a fancy gammon. Green veg will be bought nearer the time as well as ingredients for a SW eton mess. I got frozen onions and peppers to make crustless quiche etc and more eggs. A big pack of smoked salmon will make a special scrambled egg and smoked salmon breakfast for us all. I even bought ingredients for home made soup as well as a SW soup to try and a couple of free SW meals.
I finally got round to checking the huge tub of low fat creme fraiche I have been happily using to make SW linguine carbonara and oh boy - it has syns  Now have a tub of 0% fromage frais instead.
Family will all be round and it will be the first time without DH so I want to make it as stressless as we can ."This site is addictive!"

Hiya everyone, yippee 2 off and I'm there at last, however, I need to get 3 below to give me some leeway. I can't understand though I still have some fat left i e. Tummy not gone thighs not much thinner. I may have to go down to eight stone four pounds that was my normal weight in the seventies when I was quite a bit younger maybe that will make all the difference. Ah! Well, I am still quite happy. Hope everyone else has done well Hugs to you all X.0

Wi STS happy with that as been a mixed week, managed to avoid the mince pies and mulled wine get together at school as organiser forgot the gluten free ones. Glad really as I don't really like them and would have felt obliged! Don't drink either so just happy with the company!
Clean jeans test (thanks maman!) could 'feel' them on my thighs iykwim? But I like that, waist is baggy thoughhad to use new notch on belt
. Even baggier today and on thighs
. Oh well! I feel I look thinner in face (not good, looking scraggy
) but numbers on scales don't agree.
Had stressful news work wise for new year but trying not to think about it as will ruin my Christmas.
Had some m&s lamb & mint crisps yesterday, checked for wheat/gluten but missed the garlic..... Was so ill didn't eat anything for rest of day. Couldn't move much as the pain was so bad, hate my intolerances
Have a good weekend and step away from the mince pies (food of the devil this time of year). Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I don't think tummies and thighs ever return to our youthful looks, mine certainly haven't. Only time I have a flat tum is first thing in morning when I'm laying flat in bed :rotfl:
Congratulations on reaching target, 'budges up on target sofa' :T:T:T:j:jIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Well done to all the losers :T Haven't worked out how to multi quote so can't mention you all by name.
Today's menu
Late B porridge - HEA and B
Early D roast chicken, roast pots in fry light, carrots, cabbage, red cabbage (? Syns = 124 calories per portion but ? Some free food as red cabbage), sprouts and gravy (2 syns)
Snacks banana and satsuma
Drinks water and green tea.
Trying to stay on plan Monday to Wednesday as guessing it'll be downhill from there SW wise for a week or so. Good luck to everyone else trying to stay on plan ☺️0 -
Well done to all the losers :T Haven't worked out how to multi quote so can't mention you all by name.
To multi quote, click the double speech bubble (look more like balloons though!) on all the posts you want to quote. Then when you're ready, click the Post Reply button at the bottom. I think there may be a limit to the number you can quote though. I want to say 3, but it's not a function I actually use all that much!Shouldn't that say is anyone not struggling at this time of the year?:D Anyone who says they can sail through avoiding Christmas goodies is either telling porky pies (and eating their words;)) or it's the lady who travels with her own packed lunch!:rotfl:

I'm not quite a lunch traveller :rotfl: but I can honestly say this! To be fair, I've never been all that bothered by most Christmas goodies though. Neither is DH but he can't eat most of the typical ones anyway (coeliac) so they're not in the house. So I just have Christmas lunch this year and that's it.
Am partial to a chocolate orange but not enough to spend 50 syns on one! It may be a bit bah humbug but at this point, my weight loss is more important to me than Christmas.
Today...
Breakfast - Arla, berries and grapenuts (HEB1+1 syn)
Lunch - Ham, egg and cheese salad (1/2 HEA) and an apple
Dinner - Lamb shank, BNS mash and green veg
I've been really unmotivated to think of lunches. I got in to a routine of having leftovers and seem to have lost the ability to think.I do enjoy the salad, just think probably should have a bit more variety.
Some family will be around in a bit, as we're not seeing that side at Christmas this year. I'm prepared with some biscuits that I don't like, so won't be tempted to have. Have saved half of HEA for a coffee with them though, and I may have my second HEB with that.0 -
Well done wiz on reaching target :T Congrats everyone else with the losses this week
I'm feeling rubbishy today - mother nature has seen fit to give me my 2nd star week in 3 weeks :mad: I must have cheesed her off big time :rotfl: I don't have my usual munchies or discomfort though so that's a bonus and I'm actually craving fruit instead of junk. If only that was the case every month
Re the festive food - I'm the only person I know who doesn't like mince pies (despite the fact that I ate one at a christmas carol concert last week yuck) but I'm more than partial to a stollen bite or 3
Love that quote Lois I never thought of it that way before. I definitely won't beat myself up too much if I pig out now because I know I can jump straight back onto the SW wagon :T
From now until weigh day I'm making a conscious effort to increase my water intake and speed foods. I read about a 777 challenge online while looking for something else and the aim is to drink 7 glasses of water, eat 7 speed foods and no more than 7 syns. Weigh day is only 3 days away so I reckon it's do-able. I definitely don't drink enough fluids, I wake up in the morning and my mouth is as dry as the desert so I'm hoping this will help.
Have a fab day everyone
