The chicken supreme and the pork in cider are both SW and really tasty but if I don't have the exact veg I subsistute with another equivalent.
DDs (even the skinny ones have been so supportive and love the recipes). Older dd does want to lose weight herself but mainly suggested it to give me something positive to think about.
It will be the last Christmas in this house so I want to make it special. Still negotiating on a bungalow which will be easier for me to manage yet with bedrooms and bathroom upstairs so it can be self contained for visiting dds etc."This site is addictive!"

Morning everyone
Checking in with my WI result and pleased to report a 2lb loss:j It's such a relief to see the scales go down this week, I think I'd have cried if I saw another gain! Had a bit of an off day yesterday - lunch was a sandwich made with a white baguette it was sooo nice I love proper fresh crusty bread, it doesn't like me very much though and tends to bloat me up big time, good job I don't eat things like that all the time
Food today:
B - I've not felt hungry yet so I've snacked on fruit and a shape yoghurt, had a couple of cuppas with HEA milk
L - homemade veg soup which I'll be making later this morning, bread to dunk using HEB
T - veg stir fry using tesco's cheat packs, rice noodles and water chestnuts
I've got a full fruit bowl and veg rack so plenty to snack on throughout the day.
Prezzie wrapping for me today, going to get the chrimbo tunes on to keep me company while I do it
Have a brilliant day everyone0 -
D Chinese takeaway - thinking of beef in black bean sauce and boiled rice
Drinks water and green tea
Can anyone suggest any other options with lower syns than the Chinese above?
According to the list of syns in the back of the SW book that's the dish that's lowest in syns (of those that are listed anyway). I always have a chicken chop suey from the chinese (9.5 for full portion) as it's packed full of veg as well, so I don't feel quite as naughty! Slightly higher in syns but I only ever end up eating half, my OH is a bit of a human hoover so always 'helps me out' in his words with any leftovers :rotfl:0 -

Thank you Candyapple and well done on your loss. I'm eating with family including teenagers so I'm sure that my portion will be shared out. I'm finding my appetite is less since starting this last month. I don't want tonight to undo all my efforts.0 -
Well done on your loss Candyapple! :j
Menu today:
B - 2 x hifi (heb), clementine, activia
L - chicken and bacon pasta salad (0.5 + hea)
D - beef stew, greek yoghurt, berries, lemon curd
S - kitkat (5.5), popcorn (4), choc rice cakes (5)0 -
Hi all
Just listening to Radio 2 and hearing how warm it is in the UK, nearly as warm as it is here in Spain!
Yesterday's fish cakes were quite nice - I cooked the fish then mixed it into LO mashed potatoes, green beans and cabbage and shaped them into patties and cooked them. They didn't keep their shape very well and they were a bit like bubble n squeak but with added fish! There was none left - always a good sign.
Been shopping this morning so we're all stocked up on speed foods and 0% yogurt so no excuse for any unhealthy snacks. We're out tonight so there will be wine Syns but the friends we're going to also do SW so we shouldn't have too much temptation. We're eating before we go out and I'm doing spag bol for dinner.
Well done candyapple, that's a great loss. Hope everyone else is doing well this week, good luck with your weigh- ins.

I haven't got one anymore, but I think you should be able to do it mainly using the convection function, perhaps with a small %age of microwave power.
Let us know how you get on.

It is strangely warm here, I actually came out of my house this morning and thought it was warmer outside than it was in my house!
Managed to get the new mag in Sainsburys at lunchtime. Annoying there is was but wasn't in group on Tuesday!
Also picked up some multi vitamins, still got the cold.
Had a chocolate binge last night and not much speed has been happening. Its my mood cant get it lifted!
Giving myself a talking too and have bought veg to have tonight.0 -
Today's menu... feeling a bit rushed, but slept late (due to DH not getting home until 2am in the end) which always throws off my day.
Breakfast - Hifi light (1/2 HEB), Babybel (1/2 HEA) and apple. This is normally my snack, but was late and on the go
Lunch - Leftover quiche from Tuesday and salad
Dinner - Gammon and veg
Will figure out the rest of HEs and syns later!0 -
I lost 4.5lb this week. I must have ate 10-13 Celebrations and QS chocs at work too. Don't ask me how. Well, it could be down to antibiotics finally out of my system, worked 5 days this week, last week, it was 2 days as still on sick. I am on my feet at least 5 hours a day - more so this time this year (retail)
Got SotW,(the first one for me), BMI is under 30, now its 29.8 and just half a pound to 2.5 stone. If I consume the 1.7kg of apples and satsumas in the SotW fruit box, I will do hit the cert and the next stone barrier on XE.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
