hoping everyone has better weather today, Is your snow really bad BEG and CP or is it just a bit?

Snow is all gone already for me! Bit icy but thats about it! Very foggy today.

Anyway.... Wanted to say a big thanks to all who have been supporting me the last couple of weeks. I went to class tonight and absolutely delighted to say I've managed a -3lb for me please Shala :o

My consultant was back in group tonight and we had a lovely class. Feeling motivated, bought the new magazine and won a packet of hi-fi bars.

Only at work 2 days this week (today and tomorrow) but I have 4 nights out :eek::eek: Gonna try and get lots of exercise in to counter-act the food and alcohol I intend to consume.

    Well done to SOTW!!

Some great loses coming in, hugs to the sts and gainers and a big welcome to all the newbies!

  • Let's hope it's a blip shala. I was hoping to have lost a little this week and next as I know I am going off plan for Christmas Day and Boxing Day (for starters ;)). Oh well I promise I will stop the moaning now and just get on with it. :D

Well done Horsey on being SOTW (two weeks in a row) :T:T:T

Well done June on hitting your challenge target :T:T:T

Thanks for the chart shala :A You've just reminded me that I need my hair washing - it's only short but I'm quite lazy :o. Got appt to have it cut (even shorter as I cannot 'do' hair and highlighted on Saturday).

I had a quiet word with my brother tonight and asked him if Mum had said anything to him about me going home. He said she would be quite happy for me to go home but didn't want to say anything to me in case she offended me (aw bless her). I didn't want to say anything to her in case she thought that I didn't want to stay any longer. So - I will probably be moving back home some time this week I think. I don't live very far away and I am always at the end of the phone. She insisted I got my Christmas tree up today because if I didn't get it up today "it wouldn't be worth putting it up". Hindsight it was probably her way of saying that it's time for me to go home. :rotfl:

Naughty day yesterday - went on a Santa ride with my LO and ended up in the Elves Cafe eating cake! Slice of chocolate yule log and then half a sweet mince pie. Later on I had 7 syns of short bread and 4 of meringue.

To help counter act my badness today I have had no syns.

Breakfast - 2 x alpen light, fat free yoghurt, banana, orange
Lunch - spag bol (with lots of extra veg)
Tea - spag bol again with salad

Hea - no where near enough skimmed milk
    Heb - 2 x alpen light

    Snack - fat free yoghurt

only a litre of water - 12 minutes exercise.

:T to Queen of Cheap, CP and Tulip!! More losses!!

Shame about your gain beg but as you've stuck to plan it'll all come right in the end.

I suppose we all know that our weight changes day to day tweets but I'd have thought weighing at the same time should be more accurate. I suppose we have different meals and different exercise on different days. Probably why SW recommend weekly WIs. I only weigh about every 3-4 weeks and use my jeans to tell me how I'm doing in between.:)

I hope you enjoyed the syns tazzy. It can't have been more than 30 syns so being syn free today should have sorted it.:)

How much do you know about the Slimming World plan BCC? Many of the foods you describe can be fitted to the plan it's a case of how you cook them. So, for example, pasta with a tomato based sauce made with spray oil is fine but not creamy, cheesy ones which would use up all your syns. You don't have to give up bread but the only ones included in the plan are wholemeal and if the dressing includes olive oil then that's more syns used up (6 for a tablespoon). Caponata is fine if you adapt the recipe to Frylight spray oil and syn (or leave out) olives. There's a lot of information about the plan on line (SW website) or in the first posts here. Just ask if you need to know anything:).
When I next do my food shop, I will make some more little changes to my diet. My downfall was snacking. I cut the snacks out hoping I would shed a few pounds. What happened was my weight slowly increased. The snacking was the main cause of my weight gain. I do have a 30 day trial for a gym given to me by a friend who invited me to join her circuit class. I want to join, although I'm nervous about exposing my frumpy body. Has anyone tried out a circuit class?
  • Hi everyone,

BEG I really like circuit classes, where we are staying just now does them and I did a class this morning. I find the time passes really quickly as you are constantly moving from station to station and having to concentrate on what the next exercise is! Haha. I know what you mean though about feeling nervous, but once you take the plunge you'll be fine! Plus it's great to have a friend there for moral support.

Thanks again to Shala, maman and June for the info! I think this week I will syn the yoghurt and go for 100% SP, hopefully!

Stuck to meal plan yesterday, today much the same:

    B - FF yog, watermelon
L - mixed pepper omelette, salad
D - Grilled Tuna steak, stir fry veg
    Snacks - apples
    Syns - yog 2.5, cooking oil 6

Well done SOTW, and all the other great losses, the challenge looks great, can't wait to join in the new one whenever that may be!

    Stay safe in the weather!
  • BlueChooChoo sorry, the comments about circuits were meant for you! Still trying to learn all the names!!

Also while I'm on it, how to you post the little emoticons and pictures??
Since I'm asking, I'm trying to work out all the abbreviations???
    LO - leftovers?
    OH - other half?
    DD - ??
    DS - ??
Also any others which are useful!

    Thanks x

    Thanks

Yes BEG I'll be going to class, I've told myself no excuses I'l be going every single week whether I like it or not to face the music.

Even if I've ate half a cake shop and got lost at a Chinese buffet I'll be going every week. (Part of my new approach) I also want to pick up the new mag anyway.

Oh and BEG if it helps my tree isn't going up until Friday night, just not been up to it and I've not really had the time. We can just do our best.

Re the ESSP I'm the same, rather than do full days of it and stick to it religiously I go try to have a couple of meals in the week where I can.
