The reason we were up your way during the week was to attend E's brothers funeral, he was 51. When E visited him a few weeks ago his brother was so upset about the missed chances and the "what ifs" - that's why it important to pull those big girl pants up and get out and make some memories.
On my death bed I'm sure I'll look back with a few regrets but I know I'll remember the joy of opening my own (rented) front door for the first time and the progression through some grotty properties over the years to the place we are now. I have a real sense of pride that I moved out at 17 to the tune of "you'll not be able to cope" to buying my first house 5 years later! Ok so I had to sell it because of the divorce and then struggled again for years to get back on the property ladder but I did it. I may not have had a career or been to far flung places and have survived hand to mouth for most of my adult life but I'd not have it any other way.

So sorry to read about your brother in law. Must have been very difficult for E to hear that. Very difficult. I briefly had similar thoughts when I first found the lump I must say it is a truly horrible feeling. Goes deep and stays. Although my belief in God helps immensely at times like that. I hope he had some comfort. XXX
I did live elsewhere, when I was at uni and then for a while afterwards. I came home for a bit when Mum and Dad went to Florida, cheap rent in London, I had a fab time. In another lifetime I was going to marry my boyfriend........Wow. such a long time ago. Who was that girl........?
Mum apologised. I am fairly sure there is some big dark secret concerning my sister that means mum is super protective of her. She obviously felt badly about it. Like I said before I have spent so much time pondering this situation I didn't press it and accepted the apology. Had a really nice day yesterday actually. Felt better after the conversation with Mum.
Right today is all about the housework. And pondering a new diary.

Evening Buffy,
Just had a little skim through your last few months of diary entries. I don't have anything new to add but just wanted to give you a big virtual hug. :happylove.
Life is hard sometimes and we sometimes stay where we are for fear of change and possible disasters. Do what's right for you and ONLY you, there is nothing more you can do.
You do need to make sure you are happy though, and if not, start making plans and steps to get there. I am sure you can find a pet accepting landlord if you keep looking, would be a shame to rehome them if they bring you joy.
Try to rise above what's going on with your family, knowing you have a plan and are working towards it.
Keep smiling. xxxx0
