  • Good to hear you came through the op well. You need to follow advice to the letter to aid your recovery. Maybe you should mention to your sisters that your mum could do with some additional support and that you can't over stretch yourself. I know it's a pain to have them around but you've a nice bedroom to retreat to.

Glad the op is over and went well. I suppose your mum is worried, you are still her baby no matter how old you are. My mum was the same.

  • so 5 days after the operation and I feel awful!

I think it is the result of too many pain killers. Nothing to do with the op. Just sick and shakey - won't be taking any pain killers today.

Other than that things are ok. Mum doesn't like me "lazing around" never has! so that is annoying but no more than usual. It is also hard cos she is doing stuff and I feel guilt. But I am supposed to be on light duties for ten days. So there.

I need to move money round but think I will do that when I feel a little less woozy.

Sorry to hear you don't feel great. Fingers crossed you'll perk up soon. Finances are best done with a clear head.

  • The day got worse!

Mum basically wanted me out of the house - I was going anyway had planned to but when i said I was going she told me to hurry up a couple of times. I am really not allowed to relax or chill out. Things must be done. tv must be watched. food must be eaten. tea must be made and drunk within a specified time. very difficult to be just be at home like this. I normally go out more. but haven't fancied driving far and not felt well.

my life such as it is. I must be the only teacher in the world who doesn't actually enjoy the summer holidays. never have really when I think about it. The pressure to live and have fun and sort out the house is so great in the 5 weeks and it is always the same. the rhythm and focus of work takes over everything and I don't have to think about anything! All this time - just leaves a hole for the depression to kick in again. Gut wrenching sadness.

So plans to avoid this for the rest of the week. Tomorrow am having lunch with my friend, so will get up early clean out pets, meet friend and probably work or nap - lets be honest! nap in the afternoon. Wednesday am going to go in to work. Thursday am shopping with another friend and Friday the dogs are being groomed and I have a hospital appointment about my ankle.

Saturday I am going to see if I can meet up with my oldest friend - she has small people so it can be tricky.

I need plans and need to be out of the house.

No pain killers today which is good, as now just feel tired not lost and confused.

    Buffy.

    In more ways than one.
You should not feel that you shouldn't be there.
