Boo to the abscess - Buffy you are falling apart at the seams :(

Great news about the win though :)
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Get to an emergency dentist. If it is an absence, it'll need antibiotics and cleared up before it can be treated. Check your local hospital. As for everything that's going on, it's not fair that you have to be but you are incredibly strong and you'll get through.

  • Doctors was ok, mortifying in the extreme obviously, meet new doctor and have to get your tits out immediately bit much after a long day at work frankly!

anyhow he said it felt like a fibrous lump, he used a much longer name but didn't think it was cancerous......he wanted me to wait because he thought it was related to my periods however I said I wanted a referral - as it is it will all take time to switch over from old doctors and I appreciate his view and do feel better but for peace of mind I want an expert to look at it!

Generally shattered. Tooth hurts. Dentist on Thursday.

oh bufster, just caught up on your diary!

So so sorry about your Aunt. I hate cancer too. It sadly seems to affect everyone these days (whether directly by having it or indirectly through family members having it, which I know is also directly but you know what I mean).

Big hugs to you re that. xxx

On the lump front, I am sure it is fine but referral is good idea purely for peace of mind. When I was living in London 12 years ago I had similar. I even had a biopsy. But it was fine and nothing to worry about. I am sure you will be the same. Big hugs to you re that also xxx.

Re mortgage, I totally think it is the best thing you can do. Paying rent (even if to your mum) is dead money (though I do realise you are in a slightly different situation and feel you can't leave her). As long as you are holding onto a house for the long term (i.e. more than 5 years) you can't really go wrong since, if you live in it or its rented out, it doesn't matter if it goes down in value as long as you can still afford the repayments.

My advice would be go for it, and live in it! If you get a 2 bed you could also rent a room out and have tax free income from that. Think how nice it will be to make it exactly as you want it. x

Hi Buffy, Good news if the doctor was worried you would have been seen very quickly, now sounds like a routine mammogram, and if that comes back as needing a biopsy its still not bad as i have had 3 and called back on the first one which was fine and so was the second. Yes it is very worrying but worrying wont change anything so just try and think positive. (easier said than done I know)

    Take care
  • Good news there...... Dentist appointments are never fun:(
  • So doctors were pretty quick I have an appointment next next for the boobs!

Need to figure out how to tell work.......As in my line manager is a man.

In other news of the skint variety.....the dentist. Due to the fact I had/have baby teeth and no adult teeth I now have gaps. These gaps have lead to the loss of teeth which effectively means I have 5 teeth "missing"......

    Just call me gappy!

It does massively effect my confidence. I haven't kissed a man in 3 years, I mean there are other reasons but teeth definitely feature.

Plus I am super fed up of my teeth being painful which they have been on and off for ages.

BUT and it is a big but............it would cost about 10,000 pounds

Essentially the ball park figure is 2500 for an implant I need two proper full implants and two that need to be finished. So it might not be the full 10,000 but that is worse case scenario......

    Pros

    - no pain
    - less chance of continued issues with my teeth - ie the problems I have seem to come from the gaps and with out gaps teeth are fine.

    confidence?
being able to eat what I like?

    Cons

    - being back in debt.

    Options,

do nothing ( have been putting this off for two years = more pain and problems is the result so far.)

borrow the money from the bank
    borrow from credit card.

Opinions............I am fairly swayed towards the loan and the debt and the NO PAIN! but am aware I am in pain at the moment, had a horrific day at work and so tired.

Of course this sods up the housing plans quite extensively as well.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

you sound just like me dodgy teeth I have just had a plate for the ones on show, I don't want to look like someone off Jeremy Kyle. But that's not the important thing now boobs are, so sort that out first as that is the first priority and then teeth.

I don't know how old you are buffy but if it was the front teeth i would find the money somehow. Mind you might be difficult as I can't even get a interview let alone a job.

Just deal with one thing at a time and go from there.

    Take care.

    Regards,

    Angie

When you say two that need to be finished do you mean you have the screw in the bone and need the crown placed? If so, I vote start there. (We are voting aren't we?) That would be two down and you will feel so much better getting on with it.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

  • On a cost per wearing basis, the teeth would work out cheaper than most things we buy. As you do a job in which you are very visible, I'd go with the teeth but shop around and haggle! It may only save a few hundred but if it doesn't work, you won't be any worse off. Can I ask what you'd do if there was a like for like situation with one of your pets?
