  • And I know my Mum does love me, and I am lucky to have to her and I am so sorry if this upset people who have lost their Mums. I know I will regret this post, because I do love her so much. I wouldn't be here if I didn't. but there is no one in my life I can talk about this No one.

    So sorry.

No need to be sorry about what you said Buffs - I love my Mum to bits too but there's no way on this earth that I could live with her.....I have no idea how you do it and stay sane at all.

Hope the GP is feeling better today, hope your chest pains have gone (don't ignore them) and hope the car gets sorted.

Deep breath and stay calm x

  • I'm totally with you Buffy and pooky. As one of my nieces said about my mum, she's your mum and probably loves you all but I don't think she actually likes you.

My mum is an out and out contrarian. It's all on her terms. After years of beating myself up, I've had to learn to accept that cos at 85, she won't change.
Remember though, it is the duty of all POWs to escape!
Living with your mum costs you a fortune, adds to your stress levels and is probably disadvantaging you financially in the long term. It could be that it also makes it more difficult to be socially active as you may not feel comfortable having friends round. Maybe it's time to get yourself out and have your sisters get more involved.

Take care. Glad gp isn't too bad.

  • thank you. I REALLY don't know what I would do without this place.

    I REALLY don't.

well I made it. I am a mess as sadly my lovely girl died whilst I was at work. I had to take her body to the vets and that dreadful. My foot hurts something chronic and I am shattered.

I knew last night she wasn't great. But she died with her friends and whilst I suspect a heart attack I am trying not to dwell on it as she had hay in her mouth so was to some extent behaving normally.

I can't think about anything. need to go to bed.

    Thank you again XXXXX

Oh Buffy :( So sorry to hear about your Guinea pig. We get so attached to our pets and they have such short lives mostly.

I can empathise with you re not being able to talk about your feelings with anyone in real life but don't forget we are here to listen and we are real people. Take care and hope you get a good night's sleep xx

    Hi Buffy

Sorry to hear about piggy - but I bet she had a lovely life with you and as you say she was with her friends and a mouthful of hay. Hugs from me and purrs from mogs.

Please give yourself a couple of days and then please also do something about moving out. INOD is right, the situation is affecting your stress, your finances and your social life. You have already put in so much and you deserve to have a life that is yours, not built mostly around your mum's.
